Reply email ILR application

Hey folks, I got an email following my priority application as follows; “Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK. Although we would normally decide your application within five working days from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is not going to be possible in your...

Re: Tier 2 Dependent Change of Name

Hi Casa & others

I am currently completing the TOC form to apply for a biometric Resident Permit. I’m being asked for passport details.

I have a new passport with the new name.

Should I enter details of the new or old passport?

Re: Tier 2 Dependent Change of Name

Thanks for your reply as usual CASA.

How do I apply for a new BRP. All the links are signposting me to the MCC form.

Any links or forms I should be aware of?

Tier 2 Dependent Change of Name

Hi I am on a Tier 2 dependent visa and have just successfully changed my name on my passport to include my husband’s surname. I need advice regarding the relevant form I need to complete. MCC? If yes do I get a response from the home office? And do they just send a BRP to me automatically? Can I con...

Tier 2 extension baby born in UK

I was at the UK border agency today (Liverpool) to extend my tier 2 visa. I was told the application (myself, wife and baby) is held until I show evidence that I have applied for a passport from the Nigerian embassy for my baby. I argued that babies born in the UK can have visas as long as there is ...

Pension & ILR

Does the home office frown at not making pension contributions at the time of applying for ILR as some folks say it gives the impression that one does not plan to stay in the UK permanently.

Re: Change of name during Tier 2 extension

Thank you for your detailed response. But I am 1 month away from extension of my tier 2 visa. Should I change my passport to reflect the new name before application for extension of tier 2 visa? Should I carry on with tier 2 extension and get a BRP using my current passport and old name before chang...

Re: Tier 2 Extension along with 5 dependents before 31 July 2018

As long as your new baby isnt travelling outside the UK, then you can sort out the visa later.

It must be costly applying for you and 5 dependents! How many years of leave to remain are you applying for?

Expensive visa costs

I just spent ups of £7000 to extend my stay and that of my 2 dependents in this country. Thankfully I earn a decent salary but I wonder how other foreigners survive in this very expensive country. Is there something I’m missing? The common man must be taking a real hit I guess...

Tier 2 extension for neonate

My baby was born 2 weeks ago. I plan to include her as part of my tier 2 extension. My baby is yet have any nationality. What do we put as my baby’s nationality on our application for leave to remain? There’s no option for ‘no nationality’

Thanks

Re: Change of name during Tier 2 extension

My worry is that changing my foreign passport has to be done outside the uk. Would I be allowed back into the uk with a new name on a new passport different from that on my biometric permit?

Passport Expiry, Tier 2, Employment Contract

Hi Guys, I’d be grateful with some advice. My current Tier 2 General Visa expires August 2018. My Passport expires July 2019. I plan to get a 2 or 3 year Tier 2 General Visa extension when the current one expires. 1. Will my employers be able to give a 3 year contract despite the fact that my passpo...
