Re: 2016 Citizenship Approvals

I applied at exactly 3 years of being a resident here in Ireland, and got my approval letter with no complications or whatsoever. So i dont think there will be a problem with that. Just be sure that u signed it at the exact date that you are eligible to apply for naturalisation just to be safe. Goo...

Re: 2016 Citizenship Approvals

Hey guys. Sorry for posting here. Thought i'd get more attention if i asked here. do i need to wait a couple of days after my eligibility date to sign the statutory declaration? I know it sounds silly but this is what a solicitor advised. But I want to apply on the day i get eligible. Well, I sent ...

Re: General visit visa from Ireland

Just an update. My wife and daughter's visas were granted. Guess re-entry visa back to Ireland is not a mandatory requirement.

Re: Immigration question

I had the same question as i was told by a solicitor that the clock starts when you land in ireland. Unfortunately, most sources contradicts this info. From what i have been reading here and on inis website, your reckonable residency starts from the date of your first GNIB registration. Thats how it...

General visit visa from Ireland

Hey guys. Have a query regarding uk visa application from Ireland. My wife and daughter applied for uk visit visa a few days ago. Their GNIB expires in 3 years. We had completely forgotten about reentry visa to Ireland. We plan to apply for it the day before travel to the UK. Would this be a ground ...

Reckonable residence

Apologies for creating a new thread as I couldnt find an answer to my query. I arrived in Ireland on a D visa. Does the time period from arrival in the state to getting the first stamp 1 be considered reckonable? The reason I am asking is because there is a "D" in the dropdown list in natu...

Re: First Passport Application on 26th April, 2016

Nothing to worry about. I had applied for my daughter's passport and the online status stayed on stage 2 for >4 weeks, only to change to stage 6 on the day it was scheduled to be collected. I guess its waiting to be processed and once someone picks up your application, its a matter of a day or two b...

Re: 2016 Citizenship Approvals

Hey guys. I am sorry if I am asking at the wrong forum but just wanted to know. Does anyone know what "An assessment of an applicant’s financial status is conducted" means? Do they do credit scoring? Any thresholds? I am a bit worried because despite being in full time employment for the l...

Re: How to stay more than 3 months in Ireland?

Thank you Kaiser. When she arrives in Ireland her registration will be just started. She would like working in Gynecology. So it would be almost impossible to get the authorization from the hospital to attend an observership, despite it is just informal and without payment. No problem. I suggest th...

Re: How to stay more than 3 months in Ireland?

Thank you very much, Casa. So, it's better don't risk doing this. According to you is it possible for my girlfriend, without working visa but with ongoing registration to Irish Medical Council, to pass that 3 months in an hospital just for observing? Just shadowing a doctor? Thank you I guess it de...

Re: Query regarding impact on naturalisation application

I've been in full time locum work since 2014, I applied based on the five years criteria. Also had a speeding ticket which I declared on the form. Applied in Sept 2015 and paid the 950 in January. Locum shouldn't be a problem as long as you pay taxes on all your earnings. Good luck. Hi. Thank you v...

Query regarding impact on naturalisation application

Hi there. My apologies for a rather unusual question. Please delete if its inappropriate. I have had stamp 1 upgraded to stamp 4 on my Irish born child basis. I would be eligible to apply for naturalisation in august. I want to ask, whether a locum/agency job would have any negative impact on my app...

What immigration permission do you have at the moment. And do you have a valid re-entry visa?

Visa and stamp in previous passport

Hi all. Apologies if this has been asked before. My searching capabilities are pretty weak to say the least. My stamp 1 and re-entry visa are in my previous handwritten passport. I now have a machine readable passport now. Do I need to transfer these to my new passport? Or I could carry both? I am p...

Re: Irish born child

This letter is very clear and self-explanatory enough. You just need to follow all you're asked to do as outlined in this letter so matters can be finalized and put to rest once and for all. Thanks kingdomman. I guess I was nitpicking and expecting everything to be spelled out to me. I know what to...
