Re: When can I apply after obtaining EEA(PR)

I arrived in the uk in 2006. Being employed full time, effectively I acquired PR status in 2011 (5 years of work in the UK). I applied for PR card in May 2016 supplying info (bills, payslips and so on) back to March 2011 (past 5 years) and I received a PR card in September 2016. So at this point, H...

Re: Lost EHIC - how to prove Sickness Insurance?

I'm a UK citizen working and living in Denmark, and I was told the EHIC is really just for (intra-EU) visitors, for residence you need to enrol into the local social system, in my case via a Danish CPR card which allocates me a doctor etc and fully covers me for the Danish Health Care System. The E...

Re: Lost EHIC - how to prove Sickness Insurance?

John, I think you're onto something here and I'm getting a lightbulb moment. Let's clarify. Throughout my education period my mum's employer in Poland paid monthly contributions (deducted from her monthly salary) to what is known as Social Insurance Institution (Polish abbreviation ZUS), a Polish s...

Re: Lost EHIC - how to prove Sickness Insurance?

Hi, Thanks for your response. However, I did not have any other CSI beyond EHIC, I was not insured privately and the EHIC is the only form of CSI I held. As I described before: EHIC is not CSI. The EHIC card is just a document that "proves" that you actually had insurance in your home cou...

Working for EU company while in the UK

Here's an interesting question from a friend of mine who is thinking about applying for DCPR: For the year of 2012-2013, he was living in the UK, while working remotely for a French company. That French company has no presence in the UK, and he was paid in his account in France and taxed there. Woul...

Re: Lost EHIC - how to prove Sickness Insurance?

The card doesn't matter; it acts just as evidence that you held CSI in an EU member state that covered you in the UK as well. You can submit any other evidence. You'll have to call your insurance provider and ask for a document certifying that you held comprehensive sickness insurance (try to make t...

Re: Can EEA(QP) be used for naturalisation instead of EEA(PR

It cannot. For naturalisation you need to hold permanent residence. QP form doesn't lead to that at all.

Re: Choosing between applying for PR or RC.

1st year - Student. Had home country EHIC (but I cannot prove it) + private medical insurance through a scholarship (I don’t have the policy document, but I may be able to obtain it from the insurance company of the funding body). Did not obtain RC, so ta don't apply to me. 2nd year - Student. EHIC...

Re: Consequences of DCPR rejection?

as a student I didn't have CSI or an EHIC card. I did have comprehensive health insurance through my home country and have proof of this but I'm not 100% sure it will be accepted? Why wouldn't it be accepted? Get an official letter from your insurance provider saying that you held csi for those yea...

Re: Fast track SAR for PR date?

Fast track SAR can be used to obtain PR date (it has been done). This contradicts what another user said a few posts above: I'm in a similar situation and requested a Fast track first, but it only gives info re landing cards, entry clearance and not the actual PR date which was the only thing I nee...

Re: EEA(PR) - No CSI - sunk?

Some other long-shots: 1. EHIC card and when it expires does not really matter, as long as you can prove that your wife had health insurance in another EEA country for a specific period. I have used this myself: My EHIC card was expired midway the period that I wanted CSI for, but I could fetch a le...

Language requirements - UK MSc degree

For my BC application, it seems that my UK MSc degree is acceptable. I have a few questions though: 1. Do I also need to provide a NARIC letter or just the certificate is enough (from one of University of London colleges). Guide AN seems mixed up on the topic, but this page seems more clear https://...

Fast track SAR for PR date?

I'm an EEA citizen who just got a "Document Certifying Permanent Resident" and, as is obvious, want to know the exact date the HO has put down for me as having acquired PR (not the date of the DCPR certificate (which is dated a few weeks ago). The normal process for doing that is via a nor...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Do you know if the "Fast Track" SAR application includes this information? If you ask for it, yes. As far as I can tell, a "fast track" SAR application differs from a regular SAR application. The fast track one only has 3 options for you to choose from: 1) IT records 2) Entry Cl...

Re: Application for PR or PR card: form EEA (PR) - UpToDate

Hi guys, first post here. ... One question though: How do I know what period the DCPR covers? What I want to know if one year has already passed since the date that I became permanent resident (which by my calculations should be a year ago, so that I should be able to apply for citizenship straight...
