Re: Confirmation of returning BRP after ceremony

It is rare and that particularl user never returns to update in 2017 when this apparently occured. We also have some members who post nonsense just to scare everyone else. Simply send it recorded delivery sign for if you have concerned and keep your proof of postage safe. Don't overthink the proces...

Re: Confirmation of returning BRP after ceremony

Please can I just ask if Home Office would send a confirmation after they receive this? No. No one has posted receiving a fine. If you are that concerned, then send it special delivery. Reason of asking this was due to a previous topic where a forum member received a fine. https://www.immigrationbo...

Confirmation of returning BRP after ceremony

Dear Forum member, I have just returned my BRP after ceremony via secured delivery. Please can I just ask if Home Office would send a confirmation after they receive this? I am a bit worried for any mistake at the final step. In the worst case scenario (a civil penalty), when they will issue this af...

Now they will have a sign off date after the online applicatio submission date. Would that be a problem or does this form have to be signed by the referee before I submit th...

Date of arrival in the UK

Re: Questions from the online applications

1. Then select NO. 2. No. Citizenship is not a repeat of ilr. If the AN form ask for date your first arrived, you need to put that date not your tier 2 date. Thanks again for your reply. Ok so my circumstances are as follows: 1. Visitor visa: Arrived in the UK in Jul 2006 for a three-week holiday i...

Re: Questions from the online applications

1. If you do not meet the statutory requirements to become a British citizen, are there any special circumstances why you think the Home Secretary should still grant your application? Question: I have to choose Yes or No. What should I choose if this question is irrelevant to me, i.e. I have met th...

Re: Documents required for Naturalisation

Thanks, but for point 3, the question on the application form is 'Employment history in UK during past 10 years, or since date of entry if you have been here for less than 10 years' If my continuous staying period begins at the start of my Tier 2 visa, should I not just follow 'or since date of ent...

Re: Documents required for Naturalisation

1. Not required. 2. No. 3. ALL employment in the UK must be declared. HO make checks on this. Thanks, but for point 3, the question on the application form is 'Employment history in UK during past 10 years, or since date of entry if you have been here for less than 10 years' If my continuous stayin...

Documents required for Naturalisation

Hello all! Sorry I know that my questions might have been asked for a lot of times in the previous posts. But could someone help me on these quick questions please? I am going to apply for the citizenship via the ILR from a five-year Tier 2 visa. It has almost been 12 months since I was granted my I...

Tier 2 Property buy to let

Hi, I was told by registering as a landlord and signing a contract with a letting agency is treated as a business to business deal. This reminds me the restrictions of Tier 2 visa. Does anyone know as a Tier 2 visa holder if I am allowed to earn rental income at the same time? Thanks in advance, Jack

A verbal warning from the police

Dear Sirs, I have previously received a verbal warning from the police officers. I was told that there would be no written caution to me and they just took notes of my home address. I have further confirmed with them that there is no need to disclose this on my future visa applications. Obviously a ...

Re: Tier 2 Extension - Parking Fine and Driving on a Bus Lan

Hi everyone, thanks very much for your reply. I have submitted the application with these two tickets disclosed. I don't think it will change the decision no matter what as they were too minor. Will update the result once I receive it. Cheers.

Tier 2 Extension - Parking Fine and Driving on a Bus Lane

Hi Everyone, I have been searching ages and couldn't find a defined answer. Basically I have received two Penalty Charge Notices within 12 months and I am now about to extend my Tier 2 visa. First one was a parking fine and the second one was driving on a bus lane. I have paid them as soon as I rece...
