Do you have a record that they received it, if so then should be no problem . But if you sent it and they did not receive it , it will be more problematic .

If it has been lost in transit to them and your new passport shows it was lost should not be too difficult .

You have not said what your status is in the UK .
If the visit is seen as a genuine visit then there should be no reason to refuse it but if they do you can reapply .
Check the website to see the average processing time . I expect this is the busy season now so may be a little patience is required
