Think the point is if you are a visitor you will not have the official documents required . Would be interesting to see if anyone who recently took it had to show resident proof, years ago you just showed a passport and gave them the PO code and no questions asked !

I believe it clearly says you can not apply for settlement in this category . As you say there is a concession but not clear you meet that . You also mention a similar case with domestic workers this route now closed .

I doubt you will be issued a visit visa as you will not be able to show you have intention to leave .
