Re: 6 Days Short for ILR

Now I am confused. You have put the following dates in your posts: Start date of visa: 6-5-2015 Date of entry clearance: 6-10-2015 (what is this?) Entry to country: 28-10-2015 Valid until: 30-9-2020 If your visa started in May 2015 then you would need to base your first date of application as 28 day...

Re: 6 Days Short for ILR

You can apply online 28 days prior to the start date of your current T2 visa. If you delayed your entry for a long time after the start date of your visa this may be different and count towards your absence days. What is the start date of the visa you are basing your application on? Is that 6/10/201...

Re: Covid 19 - Life in the UK test Centre Closure

I can understand why you are anxious. I just submitted today and thankfully made it in time. I would have been very anxious about the LITUK closures. Knowing what I know now; what I would do if I was affected and needed to submit despite not having a LITUK pass, I would answer no to the question on ...

Re: Application timeline due to COVID

I applied and had bio-metrics today. I took the standard route. Personally I strongly advise to apply while you can. That way any delays and you will be covered by Section 3C and your application will be in the queue. It's better to get it if you can and have it, as long as you have no issues if the...

Re: ILR application due Wed. shall i still apply during COVID crisis

Apart the centres in libraries that have closed list, I can confirm other centres are open and processing normally and you must not attend the appointment if you should be self-isolating. I had mine today and asked at the end whether they thought they would be shutting down soon. My agent said they ...

Sorry, I have no idea how my reply to the other post ended up getting added here.
I didn't do that deliberately.

I meant to reply to the other post only as it was a different question.

Re: ILR FORM - COUNTRIES LIVED IN OUTSIDE UK

On that, in my current ILR application I added my country of birth in this section and the reason for living there as "country of birth". I assume that's what you are supposed to do? My dates don't fully add up as I was on Tier 5 in UK prior to Tier 2. So it looks like there is a gap from ...

Re: ILR being processed via Tier2 5YR: Job security and COVID-19

Ok - so even though I met the ILR requirements when I apply, I could still be refused if I am no longer eligible at the point the decision is made? It sounds unfair but it is good to know that is the case. Thankfully I am in a very secure role (and on the shortage list) and my employer has co-paid m...

ILR being processed via Tier2 5YR: Job security and COVID-19

Hi - I have tried to search for this answer but apologies if I used the wrong search terms I think many people might be concerned about their job security right now. If I have applied for ILR with all correct documentation. Does any change to those circumstances matter between the submission and the...

Re: Earliest ILR application date - any flexibility due to Covid19

This applies to all applicants for ILR. Qualifying period is technically counted from the day of the decision and backwards. Wow. I thought I read so many times that the eligibility date is the date of application being when you submit and pay. Technically I guess that means your decision date coul...

Re: Earliest ILR application date - any flexibility due to Covid19

As repeated millions of times, you can apply early as long as you are be eligible on the day of the decision . Expect long delays for biometrics Oh wow, I did not know that even though you said you've repeated it so often. Is this only SET(M)? I applied for ILR 16-March, SET(O) T2-G, slow route and...

Paid for 3 year visa have 5 year visa - hey?

Hi All Have a weird issue; I have a Tier 2 Visa via COS, issued March 2015. This is the old style visa before the biometric ones came in. When I got the COS it was valid for 5 years. When I applied for the Visa I put in and paid for a 3 year visa. I was expecting to extend in 2018 but when the Visa ...
