well im one of many applicants whos application is still under process for almost 2 years.
and yes they don't say explicitly but they do assume that the time your application is in process your still a non eu/irish citizen therefore until you become irish those rules applies.

as on their website inis states you have to be legally residence in state at all times.
so technically they can ask you proof of your status at any time while your application is in process and can hold your application.
so I suggest you keep your legal status up to date at all times.

in my view these shouldn't be the reasons of delay however I think they are the reason for delay or else why would they delay your application for 4 years. I called them 3 weeks ago was told file submitted to the minister I called them last week was told file was submitted to the minister I should here from then in a couple of weeks today I called I was told application is in further processing stage they are waiting for a GARDA report. I am so frustra...

I don't thinks that's final stage I think final stage is when they are waiting for minister decision.

call them on next Tuesday ask them at which stage your application is at. if its submitted to the minister for approval already then there is a chance you will get approval soon if not then chances are slim you will be included in next ceremony. also many applicant who applied in 2016 still wating. ...

well in the citizenship application for u have to tick on separated option so INIS will know eventually about your separation. apply for EU3 as your misses is still here and if she's exercising her eu treaty rights then I don't see why cant you apply for eu3 however go through a solicitor its better...
