Substantial amount of time has been passed since you have applied they might wana make sure that you have been residing in Ireland all this time and not outside the state for more then 26 weeks at a time.

its the day your applying for citizenship

there is a residency calculator on inis website its pretty much self explanatory enter your stamps in there it will tell you if u qualify or how long you should wait to apply

they will specifically write on the letter that your application is move to second stage if it doesn't say that then means your still in initial process.

some people don't even get there second stage instead directly get their approval.

Do non eu citizen still need to apply for retention or inform INIS ? suppose they have their permanent residence EU3 was approved 2 years ago (based on spouse of EU citizen) and then their circumstances change 2 years after the permanent residence was granted such as divorce or departure of their EU...

please check on INIS website under change of status section they clearly says you cannot change from stamp 4 to stamp 1

you can not change your status from stamp 4 to 1
you can change from 1 to stamp 4

my prediction is
1) there will be one more ceremony in December
2) they will move the October date (they did this last year moved mar to april) and they havnt confirmed the venue yet.

if the approvals are stopped this week I hardly think even 3000 people will attend in oct17 because if you remember back in march there were many people confirming there approval from jan to march specially in march see the timeline post. i think they start posting approvals from mid aug and up till...

the rule is to provide proof of residence for the years your claiming in the past nine years however second condition is you must me residence 1 year piror to the application so yeah you have to provide proof of residence for 2016 aswell. also note some times they ask last 3 months proof of residenc...

off course you do need to wait three years not 5 but did you confirm with them when the three year period start counting from the date you became their spouse or from the date your spouse become irish citz?
