Re: Delays in issuing temporary stamp 4

Thanks for clarifying that. As per experiences shared here by others this route you are using is very slow compared to the spouse or civil partner of an Irish national route, every case is different so I can't tell you an approximate. INIS website says it can take up to 6 months for a decision to be...

Re: Delays in issuing temporary stamp 4

Did you apply using the following form? This is the official form the application of spouse or civil partner of an Irish national http://inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/form-RES5.pdf/Files/form-RES5.pdf You should follow the instructions in the section B under 1. Re: Stamp 4 and Stsmp4eufam

Thanks for the inputs @jul1, appreciate your insights! I do not have personally dealt with the EU for any issues but a close friend and his same sex non EU spouse back in 2016 lodged a complaint because when applying for a holiday visa to a Schengen area country, the embassy asked them to pay the fe...

Re: Advice needed

I would recommend to talk to a solicitor because it sounds like a complex case, there are some legal advice centres in Ireland that offer free and confidential help to legal and illegal aliens in the country.

Try to do some research online and you will find their contact details.

Re: Stamp 4 and Stsmp4eufam

Unfortunately that’s the current regulation for Irish citizens and their non EU spouses in Ireland. I have discussed this topic with friends in your same situation and definitely is something you can raise with the EU as a complaint, it will take time but you will get a response or at least some sor...

Re: Immigration Officers Not Knowing What To Do

I think you are making an issue out of nothing here and please do not take it personal, just trying to give you my opinion. Issue 1 – The fact that an immigration officer at his or her own discretion allowed you to use the EU queue before when travelling with your EU partner does not grant you any r...

Re: Uk visit visa info req on stamp4eufam

I think the answer above was very clear, your husband could face issues with UK Home Office when trying to apply for a UK visa or transiting through the UK given his immigration history there. Any chance he can travel directly to Ireland avoiding the UK? I think that would be his best choice given h...

If you book an appointment and apply in person they will make a copy of your original passport and will return it back to you on the spot.

Re: Do I need a uk transit visa with Stamp 4

My answer it is based on the fact that he's transiting through the UK, not other EU countries. Although it’s true that a Libyan citizen can transit without a transit visa through Germany, France and other EU countries the airline staff doing check in and boarding might stop you and give you hassle i...

I think you should be about the get her visa, I’m actually surprised it is taking this long. Ireland closed their embassy in Venezuela and moved to Mexico so that could impact the turnaround times as well, did you try to e-mail the embassy in Mexico directly? https://www.dfa.ie/embassies/irish-embas...

Technically he needs a transit visa or even a tourist visa with multiple entries since I assume you will be flying back the same route right? Do they do multiple entry transit visas? Only Stamp 4 EUFAM holders are exempt from visas to another EU countries when travelling with or joining their EU spo...

Re: Living in Ireland visiting UK withnon eu wife with EUsta

Your wife does not need a visa to travel to the UK, the fact that she holds a Stamp 4EUFAM and travelling with you it’s more than enough to get her entry into the UK, if she's travelling on her own she will need a visa though. You might get some questions / hassle from airline staff or immigration o...

What information are you going to be withholding? The question refers merely to studying based residence, your wife had not residence for studying purpose at any stage as per the information provided by you. If you put “Yes” it will imply that she was at some stage a Stamp 2 holder which is the stam...

@indianzeppelin I would put “No” but that’s my personal opinion.

Your wife’s residence here was on Stamp 3 until recently that she changed it to Stamp 4, her residence was never on the basis of studying.

Re: Dual citizen Brit/Irish Eu Treaty Right Non EU Spouse

Once you are legally married that won’t matter.

The instructions I provided above are only if you intend to apply for a Stamp 4 for her once you are married and applying with your Irish passport, if you are planning to apply with your UK passport that’s a completely different process.

The requirements are clearly explained below.

If she is applying based on her marriage to an Irish citizen (you in this case) I don’t see anywhere that mentions about her initial dependent stamp in the country.
