Hi all, I am currently in the UK and hold 6-months EEA Family Permit (obtained abroad). Beginning of October 2016 I have applied for the 5-year Residence Card and already got my CoA and passport back. My 6-months EEA FP is going to expire in February 2017 and I am quite sure I won't get my residence...

They are simply either valid or expired.

The RC Guidance refers to cards issued under EEA Regs and Immigration Rules, that is British law. A German card would be issued under German law and not under UK EEA Regs.
