Re: Passport returned with accompanying letter, but no receipt or application number?

4 months on average to get the passports returned, which means you will get yours soon. I must have waited the longest, 5 months to be precise, and it was before Level 5 lockdown. Do you have a source for that timeframe or are you estimating? Just looking at the timeline thread it seems like most p...

Re: Passport returned with accompanying letter, but no receipt or application number?

Don't mind the overall delay to the process so much, it's understandable under the circumstances, it's just the delay in returning passports that is of most concern to me. Have anxiety about passport getting lost which would be a complete disaster for us.

Re: Passport returned with accompanying letter, but no receipt or application number?

It's frustrating since applicants in the summer seemed to be getting passports back within a month. Very unlucky timing but i'm just hoping nothing gets lost with AnPost

Re: Passport returned with accompanying letter, but no receipt or application number?

Are there others with citizenship applications from Oct 2020 or earlier still waiting for passport return? Nothing here and I see in the timeline thread that applicants from Dec are now receiving passports back

Re: Return of Original Passport after citizenship application

Also submitted in October (Anpost marked received 20/10/20) and no word yet. Recent applications seem to have taken up to around 2 months and I think the 2nd lockdown must have delayed things further

Re: Application for Naturalisation

No urgent plans to travel (who does right now in the current climate?) and I can't see anything getting any faster any time soon so may as well get it sent and get in the queue now

Application for Naturalisation

Hi all, Just trying to find some clarity with regard to sending in an application for citizenship currently. Details on official website are a little confusing and contradictory. a 27th August update on the irishimmigration site states "Applicants should not send applications unless the form is...

Re: EUFAM and Brexit!

Since this is now likely to be under Boris Johnson's deal rather than a 'no deal' scenario, your EUFAM status should continue to function as it currently does until the end of the 'transition period' in December 2020 - at this point its a bit more uncertain but it seems likely there will be some tra...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

So do I understand correctly that despite dismissing the appeal they have overwritten the judgement made in the high court and the 6 week rule applies again?

Good to hear things are moving at least, fingers crossed for a resolution. Can I ask where that was posted and by who Leswan09?

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

What are the thoughts of forum members about traveling until this is resolved? We are holding off making Christmas travel plans in case the decision is not overturned but it looks like nothing is moving even for people who have not left the country for a day since there are no new ceremonies planned...

Hi Shannon,

I think we chose 'permission letter' in the end but I agree it was a little unclear to us too!

Good luck with yours!

Re: Visa for UK while on Temporary Stamp 4/Stamp 4 EUFAM

@NiallPP how did your trip go? any feedback. I had taken my parents to Asia transiting through UK and didn't have any problems as they both had re-entry visa and I accompanied them and used the non EEA queues. I also saw a couple of people applied for EU1 around August/September. Any news from INIS...

Re: Re-entry Visas

A quick tip from my experience getting a re-entry visa, since people may come across this in the future and its a very disorganised system. Was struggling to get an appointment through the website, tried someones previous suggestion of turning up in person, they were decidedly unhelpful and pretty m...

Re: Visa for UK while on Temporary Stamp 4/Stamp 4 EUFAM

I'm still so confused about what best to do. I have just realised that I neglected to mention in my first post that I am a dual UK/Irish citizen.. and though we have entered Ireland and applied for EU1 on the basis of my UK citizenship, I do also hold an Irish passport. So far no problems in terms o...

Re-entry Visas

Has anyone had any luck getting an appointment in Dublin Burgh Quay for a re-entry visa? Re: Stamp 4 and Form 8 question

She can apply for naturalisation straight away after 3 years is up. Dupalsky Dupalsky, so then does Stamp 4EUFAM count the same as standard Stamp 4 for reckonable residence in situations like this where you are applying for naturalization based on marriage to an Irish citizen? I may be in this posi...

Re: EU1 form submitted - Instructions letter

So long as you have submitted your EU1 form you are fine, you are legally entitled to remain here, you can ignore the stamp. You can relax, my husband's visa had expired by the time we went for our GNIB appointment (EU1 form was sent in a week before visa expiration), it was not an issue at all. We ...
