Hi, I have a question about the bank statements I will provide with my wife's application. My bank account is online only so I do not receive bank statements through the post. Subsequently I have printed the statements and taken them into a branch who have stamped every single page and written their...

Hi, Thanks for the fast reply. We thought too much would be better than not enough :) How would you recommend submitting the screenshots then? My wife and I have a WhatsApp chat history dating from April 2014 to now and we were considering a screenshot of every month or is that overkill? Also are th...

Hi, My wife and I are in the endless process of gathering various documentation for her visa to come to the UK. A point we are currently pondering is whether or not we should use a specialist company to help with the application or just apply ourselves? We have heard mixed reviews/arguments for both...

Re: Supporting docs validity. Please help...

So just so I am clear:

Is the post office ok to certify my passport?

Do I need to provide and certify every page (of both my old and current passport) or just the biometric page?

Thanks

Re: Supporting docs validity. Please help...

We are not applying for FLR(M). It is a 'Family of a Settled Person' visa we are applying for. Does this make a difference?

Also with the 28 day rule, is it 28 days from the point we pay for the application?

Thanks!

Supporting docs validity. Please help...

Hi, Can someone please explain the '28 day rule' for Spouse Visa applications? My wife and I will be applying from her home country (Taiwan) and we aren't sure if this still applies to applications made outside the UK? Also is there a validity requirement for household bills? My live in landlord org...

Re: Family of a Settled Person Visa - Proof of accommodation

All of the applications/examples we have been able to locate for people with similar circumstances recommend providing this form with the application though. These are the documents I am able to provide for proof of our accommodation: Lodger/tenancy agreement - this will only have about 4 months lef...

Re: Family of a Settled Person Visa - Proof of accommodation

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. So I have taken a look into housing inspection reports and it seems like they are quite readily available and quick to obtain paperwork for.

Is there a specific body/organisation required or is any estate agent approved to do this for a Spouse Visa purpose?

Thanks,
Shaun

Re: Family of a Settled Person Visa - Proof of accommodation

Hi, Thanks for your advice. I will arrange for a property inspection report to be done then. Is there a list of approved companies that I need to use for the report? Also, with any letters I write in support of our application, what is the best address to use and who should I address it to specifica...

Re: Family of a Settled Person Visa - Proof of accommodation

I do have a Tenancy Agreement but are there special rules or rather disadvantages for having a live in landlord?

How do I organise a property inspection report?

Many thanks,
Shaun

We are a little bit unsure as to what exactly is required for the proof of our accommodation though. I currently live in London in a 2 bedroom house with a live in landlord. My wife c...
