From the following expression used in above UKA reply:

"Breaks of leave within the UK and other longer absences outside the UK..."

it appears that now breaks of leave within UK would also be taken care of.

Check law society Solicitor Firms data for Pakistan at

As per above data there are UK Solicitor in Pakistan dealing in immigration law and Solicitor is at higher pedestal than OISC advisor

Scheme closed on 27 Nov 2008 for rest of the world but continues for two countries. Work Permits are of various kinds. Training for work experience (TWES) is one of them and still continues for certain countries.

A family friend had come to UK in Nov 2005 on WP ( Training for Work Experience). In Sep 2006 he switched to to HSMP. I was searching the forum/web but could not find HSMP Guidance Note issued at the material time by Home Office in respect of post April 2006 but pre Nov 2006 period in the context that what is mentioned about absences for ILR.

My friend' EC has been approved. It was applied on 16 Oct from Lahore.There was no verification call to employer. I think bank account in HSBC, Lahore was the most credible aspect wherein salary of 12 months was credited and maintenance funds were gradully accumulated.
