Re: Change of name after marriage

Marriage certificate is more than enough and her valid passport. Nothing more is required.

I know as I did the same thing. ;)

Re: Spouse Visa Extension - BRP received/ Decision letter NOT received

One of my friend got BRO first and decision letter via post later on, so could be the case. Anyways you have BRP so having decision letter or not is irrelevant. Not getting a decision letter is not irrelevant. A decision letter may confirm a pathway an applicant is on, for example, five or ten year...

Re: Priority service & Super priority service

Oh how I wish the process was simplified It's categorised as family route no matter if you're on FLR FP or FLR M. Your home office case reference and indeed your BRP will be noted with what type of Visa you have been granted so it should be simple for the case worker. Agree that a cover letter is im...

Re: Wrong IHS Number! So Mad at Myself!

I would suggest create a cover letter an upload it to the UKVACs site. Press submit

If the wrong IHS is paid, the caseworker will most likely contact you to request IHS is paid. This was always the process if IHS isn't paid correctly.

Make sure you just let UKVI know.

Re: Switching from FLR (FP) to FLR (M) - question on online application

What i would suggest is to include the B1 information as part of the cover letter. Depending on region you can certainly book A1 test in London. Attempt the booking EVEN if you get the appointment after 1st oct. Once you get the cert just upload/provide ref number by uploading in document centre in ...

Re: Nikkah via Skype or zoom

There have been marriages conducted over Zoom but for guests mostly. I would highly doubt it would be accepted. You will know most of the sub continent Asian countries are subject to more scrutiny when it comes to applications. Do the right thing, go the home country/where the marriage SHOULD take p...

Re: Switching from FLR (FP) to FLR (M) - question on online application

Better to redo the A1/B1 English test: 32D. If an applicant applying for limited leave to enter or remain under Part 8 or Appendix FM submits an English language test certificate or result and the Home Office has already accepted it as part of a successful previous partner or parent application ( b...

Re: Switching from FLR (FP) to FLR (M) - question on online application

Hiya, Recently completed a switch so I do know the answers. :) Choose: First application as a partner from within the UK (for example, you are currently in the UK on another type of visa or permission to stay) As for English test, it is 2 years from passing test. A1 is the minimum. Do make sure you ...

Re: FLR (M) Granted during Covid, Visa and BRP questions

First of all, congratulations! The BRP that will be given is considered your physical Visa and no endorsements are in passports anymore in country. The BRP is used to register for NI and is essential for when travelling out and into the country..keep it safe its a headache to deal with replacements ...

Re: Format for Writing a letter to MP

Call your MPs office, the case workers there can pick up a call to a direct line at UKVI and ask for an update. Seems like a familiar generic statement, almost word for word that is what UKVI said about my husband's case where it was a simple(ish - see my posts about this) switch to FLR M form 10 ye...

Re: Switching from FLR FP to FLR M

Update. I reached out to MP after UKVI escalation and they have spoken to UKVI about the case. They deem the application complex and need more time for a decision. I am back to 2016-2018 anguish. I am so mentally disturbed by this as 1) he's not an overstayer 2) we meet ALL the immigration rules for...

If you log into IDV app you'll see that it its submitted. OK so I am aware of the tech they use in HO (I'm a professional in the field) so this IS an automated message 7 weeks and 2 or 3 days later..they may have just a days difference if submitted or have a public holiday in the way. In a way I am ...

Our of curiosity what date did you submit your application. We applied 24th July. IDV app on 30th and its CONFIRMED submitted.
