Re: Travel after submitting Form AN - can I do biometrics in advance?

It came today :) I'll make a timeline post to help others gather evidence so they can hopefully have a go at guessing how to handle their own situations.

Re: Travel after submitting Form AN - can I do biometrics in advance?

Thanks for your answer. Do you think I should write to the HO? I sent an email saying I'd be unavailable for a bit, and also called them, but the person on the other end of the line didn't really seem to care to pass the information along, just told me not to travel... edit: Judging by the timelines...

Travel after submitting Form AN - can I do biometrics in advance?

I unfortunately have a holiday forced on me (family etc). I submitted Form AN and the HO emailed acknowledgement on the 18th Sept. I know that I'm going to get a request for biometrics at some point soon - can I do this in advance at a post office, or does it have to come after the letter? I'm away ...

How 'recent' must the photo be (for Form AN + passport)

I'm doing a joint AN+Passport application via NCS. The AN guide says this "You must include a recent passport size photograph of yourself with your application." without any definition of "recent". It also says "Your application must be endorsed by two referees." implyi...

Re: British Citizenship – Good Character Requirement FAQs

Multiple Fpns will result in rejection for sure?

If I'm unlucky I might have gotten one... maybe two for not noticing a new sign around here :(

How strict is the "no absence of 2 years" for NTL ILR "renew

Continuing here as advised, delete the other thread if you can. I can't seem to edit the topic of this thread, and I didn't want to post something that might be considered off-topic, but all right. I've had ILR for a very long time, and while I can prove continuous residence for the most part (about...

How strict is NTL on proving no absences? (already got ILR)

Hi guys, I'm about to do the NTL thing to transfer ILR stamp from old passport, and get a BRP as my employer wants it. I have had ILR for about 25 years, but I only have supporting documents for the last 18~20 or so years. So theoretically I could have left the country and invalidated my ILR in that...

Photo for NTL/BRP application, can someone double check?

I just used one of those booths, but I'm not 100% sure if I've done it right. Also the machine recommended that I take off my glasses, which meant I couldn't really see the markers for positioning 100% well (but it's not like I couldn't see them at all). Image is here for reference... is it ok? [edi...

Re: I have ILR, trying to get a BRP via NTL - time? IHS?

The NTL form says I need a police report for my missing passport - how should I go about getting this?

The report form on gov.uk is only for British passports...

Letter for proof of residency

Is there a report of someone using P60s/letters from schools/unis/employers to count as proof of residency?

Does it work?

£1200 is a large amount of money to throw away otherwise.

Re: I have ILR, trying to get a BRP via NTL - time? IHS?

Unfortunately I am missing 10 years of passport, this is quite bad.
But I was in school+unit for this time so I could get them to give a record of my attendance?

Re: I have ILR, trying to get a BRP via NTL - time? IHS?

Thanks.

And for Citizenship, do I need to prove I was resident since I got my ILR (which is 20+ years ago haha) or just for the past 5 (or 3 if married to BC) years?

Re: I have ILR, trying to get a BRP via NTL - time? IHS?

Thanks for that - followup question now

For CITIZENSHIP based on existing ILR for 5 years...
do I have to get a BRP first, separately? Or will that be bypassed?

I've had ILR for decades, before BRP was introduced.

Apparently ILR -> NTL+BRP takes several months (and no one knows why)?

I have ILR, trying to get a BRP via NTL - time? IHS?

I have ILR. I'm trying to get a BRP. What should I do? Follow the NTL form? How long does this take to get? Do I have to pay the IHS? I would imagine not, but one part of the docs suggested that some people have to pay for something, and it wasn't clear https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-appl...

Need 5 years proof of residency: passport only 3 years old

I've been here for ages, but I can't seem to find my old passport.

The guides suggest that a letter from my current employer would do.

What exactly should it say? Does anyone have a sample/template?

Does this actually work?

thanks

Re: Citizenship application - evidence of 10 years of NI?

Thank you so much for your helpful and timely responses. This 6 year job is my only serious job. I did 2 other bits of work in retail when I was a teenager... but that does fall within 10 years. Do you think it's important for me to contact them? I think I worked with each company for a month or two...

Citizenship application - A Few Questions

Trying to apply for citizenship, but I'm stuck... I don't have my P60s from the last 10 years lol. I've worked for a single employer over the last 6 years - what exactly should I ask them to write? The guide says confirm start/end date, but what does that have to do with NI? And why is this 10 years...
