Re: BRP(RC) applications

Thanks @Poiu098 just glad it's finally done.

I hope for you it is not a long a wait either. Yes I'm ILR. Next step will be Naturalisation but I think I've given the home office enough money for the time being. ;)

Re: BRP(RC) applications

Hi @Poiu098 Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible as the premium service is made in person and is at en extra cost. Once initial payment is made and the biometrics taken I don't think they will upgrade it unless there are exceptional circumstances. Gov.uk file 419177 BRP RC guidance notes (It w...

Re: BRP(RC) applications

@Syer Ah I see, I would in this case say then maybe not because the new updated passport will have cancelled out the old even though there was time remaining on it. I would assume this because they would not allow one person to have 2 valid passports in different names unless they were different cou...

Re: BRP(RC) applications

Hi @Syer I flew to Florida with my passport still in my maiden name at the time which matched my BRP. I flew several times on my maiden name passport. I was married in Aug 2012 and only changed my passport recently to reflect the married name in May 2016. Should be completely fine to travel on maide...

Re: BRP(RC) applications

Hi @INFOSRI

Sorry to hear you have also waited a long time. I feel your pain! I have no good news as yet, I'm still waiting too and as of today it's been 15 weeks since I sent off my application (13 from biometrics taken)

I will update when I have some more positive news. Good luck to all

Re: BRP(RC) applications

Hey @bethS It's horrible :( sorry that your employer won't let you work without the card. I've had issues like that before too. The home office say it's fine but employers want to see docs and that you are legit! I don't know if this info helps but it does say in my letter: "Issue 7 permission ...

Re: BRP(RC) applications

Update * So I called UKVI (0300 123 2241) You won't actually be able to speak to anyone unless you press the option for "applications not received and itspast the 6 months time frame" They can't give an ounce of info or update on progress. I gave my case reference number and she confirmed ...

Re: BRP(RC) applications

@namkie90 I know, I really wish there was someway we could check on progress. It's been almost 12 weeks from the day I did my fingerprints at the post office so 14 if you include when I sent off my application. So my letter has my case reference number on it. It advises you will have 15 days from th...

Re: BRP(RC) applications

@Namkie90 Ta for the website link but it wouldn't open for me :( it says in that quote though that 'you should apply at least 8 weeks before your stay in the UK is due to end' ...I should have mentioned that I already have ILR status. That's also why I'm not sure why it's taking so long :( it's real...

Re: BRP(RC) applications

@Namkie90 Thanks for replying, going by mine you should get your biometrics letter soon maybe next week hopefully. I'm wondering where you got the 8 week time frame from as the standard service they advised me was within 6 months? I called them on the day I did my biometrics (because they sent the b...
