This isn't an immigration matter. This is up to a lender and their evaluation of the risk.
Thanks,

I just wanted to ensure it has no impact on our ILR or if it breaches any aspect of our agreement pertaining to the visa as in what my spouse is allowed to do or not allowed to do.

ILR Spouse Visa - Income Requirement

Hi Guys, I've got 3 questions; 1. If I change my job 6 months prior to my ILR application, would that be fine? Or would I need to show income for the past 12 months? 2. My wife can apply for an ILR in September, but her BRP expires in Summer of 2023, so does this mean we can apply for an ILR at any ...

There are no interviews!
Ahh okay, thanks for the quick reply! I read somewhere that you COULD be invited for an interview? I assume that's in very extreme circumstances or if there's some discrepancy with your application?

Spouse ILR - Is an interview a part of the process?

Hi guys, I wanted to ask for the spouse ILR, is an interview a normal step? And under what circumstances may you be called in for an interview. Is it done at random, or are there specific factors that may contribute to it? So far we've renewed twice without issue, we're meeting the income requiremen...

1. Family route visa has no absence limit
2. No
Okay, thank you! I was under the impression for ILR you could only be out of the country for a limited period of time (for the actual applicant). Thanks a lot Zimba!

Re: Switching/Leaving job during Spouse ILR process?

No but the money must be held for at least 6 months Thanks a lot for your help Zimba, it's greatly appreciated. Last thing I wanted to confirm, and I do apologise for the abundance of questions. 1. Am I correct in understanding that I as the sponsor/UK citizen have no limit on how much I can travel...

Re: Switching/Leaving job during Spouse ILR process?

NO effect. The decision under the family route is based on your financial circumstances on the day of application as per rules Thank you Zimba! I was by my lawyer that they may call afterwards which may lead to issues but it always confused me as the application had already been submitted. Secondly...

Switching/Leaving job during Spouse ILR process?

Hi, I was wondering, if someone was to resign, change, or get dismissed from their job while their ILR application is being processed (I.E Not granted as of that moment of time) - does this hold any bearing on the application? I'm just curious as during my previous spouse visa extensions my lawyer h...

Re: ILR or extension?

If your wife is on the 5 year spouse route then she can apply for ILR once she has been in the UK for 5 years. She may apply 28 days prior to reaching the 5 years. The latest date you can apply would be before the current visa expires ie June 2023. If you have all the required paperwork/finances I ...

ILR or extension?

Hi guys, I have 2 questions. 1. My wife's going to be in the UK for 5 years now in October, 2022. However her BRP card expires in June 2023. Can we apply for ILR in October 2022? Or if we want to, can we apply for the ILR say January 2023 hypothetically? How does this work. 2. When we combine cash s...

Re: Work Travel and Spouse Visa

There is no absence limit on spouse visa route hence no impact as such. However, not being around may impact on being able to generate the needed documents for cohabitation evidence though Hey, So we have a UK residence we will live at and receive correspondence too. My wife will live here too, but...

End of 5 year route?

Hi Guys,

I wanted to ask some advice. My wife is on the 5 year route, and we've recently been granted our first extension. At the end of this we will complete our 5 years.

Do we need to fulfil the same income requirements and proof of cohabitation at the 5th year mark for ILR?

Spouse Visa Extension - How does it work?

Hi guys, Just hoping someone can help explain how the visa extension process works. - My lawyer told me we don't need to submit the documents at the same date we submit the application, this can be done afterwards and has to be done before the date of our appointment? Re: Clarification on NARIC for Language Requirement

Topics merged!! You need the statement of comparability and English assessments, which is the UK visa & nationality red route option. So yes, you need to pay for both assessments, costs about £150. I've paid for the red route service and they said they'll provide me with the following; 1) Acade...

Re: FLR (m) Cohabitation Letters

Thank you very much for clarifying this. It's a little confusing due to 'FLR(M) GUIDANCE NOTES' advising that "Copies of any kind are not acceptable unless there are valid reasons for not being able to provide the original document" Kind of a grey area with e-billing as they have the same...

Re: Spouse Visa Extension - IELTS (Covid 19)

Hi Guys, Can someone confirm this for me, my wife's spouse visa is due to expire on June 20th, 2020. She has a CEFR Level C1 IELTS test completed at a UK university (It's not on the UKVI list) and this was done 02/06/2018 so it's almost about to expire as I believe they have 2 years on them. Don't ...
