Re: cooling off period after visiting for 6 months or less?

A Long-term visit visa only allows you to stay for six months per visit, just like regular visit visas. I assume you just mean granted entry as a visitor on arrival as Japan is a non-visa required country. I believe you must convince the border force officer your main purpose in the UK is temporary ...

Hello, If you had a French EHIC (or other EEA country EHIC) for the whole period you can use that (Cannot be a UK EHIC), Here is a post by another French person who is talking about French NHS (CPAM). I don't know what that is or if it helps you but I'll link the original post - http://www.immigrati...

Re: “no recourse to public funds”

The restriction for no recourse to public funds doesn't apply to family members of EEA Nationals. You may receive benefits if you meet the eligibility requirements. However depending on your status as a qualified EEA National in the UK, if you are residing as self-sufficient applying for benefits wo...

Can I apply online for the PR for myself, my wife and our son together? What type of visa do they have now, and how long have they had it? If they have completed 5 years in the UK and they have had a EEA visa throughout those 5 years , then yes, you can apply as a family unit in the same online, or...

MrSlyFox, It's not at all clear to me that the paragraphs you quote apply to our case. There are these 2-year, 5-year and 10-year routes, explained in large technical documents. What route would we be taking? The Five year route Here the the guidence which also is very clearly linked on the page - ...

Re: EEA PR - Which five years should I choose?

You are correct any continuous five years period being a qualified person is valid for acquiring permanent residence. However for example, if you pick 2005 - 2010 you would also have to show you haven't been outside the UK for two years because otherwise, your permanent residence would have been los...

So my question is: what are the current rules for applying for a spousal visa if currently in the UK through Surinder Singh? Do we have to leave the country to make the application? Apply to remain in the UK with family You can apply to extend or switch in any of these routes if you’re eligible, ex...

The HO just confirm those rights by issuing RC/PR Confirmation so you are allowed ...

Re: Right of abode to the Uk

I think getting a passport would be better, It's much cheaper and I think it would be faster than getting a certificate of entitlement. Applying for passports from India or Pakistan take 6 to 12 months to process as they are processed in the UK. CoE or RoA is much quicker. Wow! That is a very long ...

Re: Already have EEA3, do I need EEA-PR? Is EEA3 still valid

EEA 3 & EEA PR are just names of the forms. The document certifying Permanent Residence is still valid provided your PR hasn't lapsed by more than two years outside the UK. No need to apply for a new one, maybe after Brexit there will be new regulations. But you don't need to do anything right n...

Re: Visa Vignette in Place of Residence Card

You said you appealed your decision, If originally you applied prior 6th of April 2015 when the HO introduced biometric residence cards you will be issued the vignette as you would not have provided biometrics to be issued with a biometric residence card.
