It's just a waiting game right now, free movement will continue until the UK leaves the EU. But hopefully we will hear about what will happen early in the negotiations.

Re: PR application question

You may use any continuous five-year period to qualify for PR so if you wish to use the period after WRS was scraped you may rely on that providing you were a qualified person. would this not cause any issues with applying for citizenship down the line, bearing in mind I' would hide fact I arrived,...

Re: CHANGES TO SS ROUTE AND RC!! CLARIFICATION NEEDED!!

It only depends on the BC sponsor (your wife work doesn't have a effect on her rights as they are based on you). So if you aren't working yes she will require CSI.

Re: CHANGES TO SS ROUTE AND RC!! CLARIFICATION NEEDED!!

Yes the changes apply to all applications made but not decided by the 25th of November 2016. The British Citizen sponsor is now treated as if they were an EEA National so you must exercise treaty rights as a worker, student, self-sufficient. There are minor differences between the BC and EEA Nationa...

She will need a visa to come to the UK to marry, or if they marry in France she will need a visa to join her husband. So those prior to Brexit could be permitted to continue exercising their Treaty Rights until the acquirement of PR. However those who arrived after Brexit would fall under UK Immigration Laws Well nobody knows, you'll have to wait and see. Just have patience they say the first thing to be discussed...

It can take 20 working days for the biometric letter to be sent from when the Home Office receive your application, you have just reached that so I'd wait a little longer it should turn up during next week. Yes, every application non-EEA national makes will have their biometrics taken, They will com...

With all due respect, but your government has some of the strictest immigration processes and it takes 5 years in Australia too before gaining permanent residency as a foreigner. No, Generally not true. For example, there are a huge range of visas which grant permanent residence without a preceding...

Hello Robin92, You have confused the residence requirements for naturalization and PR. Re: Do you apply EEA4/EEA2 through a solicitor or by yoursel

When you say RC do you mean residence card or residence certificate? Do you have a particularly complicated case?

Even if you reapply multiple times at an application fee of only 65 pounds its still a lot cheaper than the 1500 pounds for a solicitor

No, I don't think they can apply online if it isn't at the same time as the sponsor. You can request the passports back after applying but I would leave a month from when you request them until you leave at least to be safe. The home office is known for exceeding the ten days they say it will take t...

You can be absent for six months per year without affecting your residency, were you absent for .5 months more in that year besides that one big absence of 5.5 months (I.e. over six months in total)? No CSI required if your not in the UK. Or one big one off absence of up to a year for important reas...
