Hi guys, Just found lots ppl say the past earning should cover 12 months "IMMEDIATELY" prior to the application. My case is that the materials for past earnings are for Aug 2005 to July 2006 (including tax retrun, pay slip, bank statement, salary letter) and I am gonna file the application...

I am confused, the guy is doing exactly the same as me, and the reason he failed, as he explained according to the HSMP team, is the incorrect base of salary, i.e. net salary is used. http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=10463 If he is rite, that means the period doesn't have to be 12 months...

I am not able to get a more detailed reference letter from my employer, it is the firm policy that only standard form of reference letter will be provided, that is the best I can do :(

thx, arm, then I guess I will get my salary letter notarized and sent. and for the 500RMB difference, you think it is better to send it too? I feel this is actually a strong evidence afterall.

unfortunately, here in Shanghai, China, the tax paid is the only amount that I can find on the tax slip :(
