Re: Can my father be dependent of my EEA spouse?

Hi All,

Quick recap: My EU wife will be sponsoring my fathers dependent family member application as discussed above.

As my fathers passport is expired can we send in his national id card(non EU) instead as part of this application?

Thank you :)

Hi All, I am back :) Quick recap: I am british and my very ill father has been living with me for the past 2+ years while his discretionary leave application is being considered by the HO and the first tier tribunal(in v near future). I have a European wife and my father is dependent on her. If we w...

Re: Australian National settlement in uk

Kashif, Sounds like you have a sub continent back ground which means you will probably be quite desperate to keep your dad with you as its our culture. As people have said before me the adult dependent route is near impossible. I am going through this right now and would not advise my worst enemy to...

Re: Applying for FLR after failing SS

I read the case and it looks very unfortunate. I think you will win in appeal. Make sure you dont leave the country otherwise HO will delay your case for ever and probably try to ban you from re entering for however long. These are standard gutter tactics they are using these days against non EEA (s...

You probably need a DNA test if your birth certificate is not accepted.

The more experienced members of this forum might have other suggestions.

Re: EU Freedom of Movement statistics

I agree with Obie here but I would also like to say that the British govt of 2004 should have had the vision to calculate the possible impact of unrestricted migration from the new(poorer) member EU states. There was a reason why most other members of the EU put a freedom of movement restriction on ...

Re: Can my father be dependent of my EEA spouse?

Question - is your father using the NHS and if so, is he paying for ALL his NHS services/visits/medicines? What is happening when you try to send a PM? I have just tested your permissions and it all seems fine. Obie/CR001, Thanks my PM's are working now. He does not use the NHS. All his treatment s...

Re: Can my father be dependent of my EEA spouse?

Thanks noajthan. Couple of more questions: 1) My private messages have stopped working once again. I think they only got enabled when I did my first 30 odd posts and after that I sent a few PM's and then they got blocked. 2) What would be the best way for me to show emtional and physical dependency ...

EEA PR hindrance to EU freedoms?

Hi All, My wife is an EU national working in the UK for over 10 years. She has always worked with no breaks so applying for a Permanent Residence card should be quick and easy. However we will soon be applying for a family permit for my non EEA father to be her dependent. If she applies for PR and g...

Re: Taking my non EEA dependent father to Ireland

Okay thanks. I had to walk away as this whole situation is stressing me the hell out. HO throws all these communications in garbage. I am not going to waste time with these ****. Re: Taking my non EEA dependent father to Ireland

There is 2 categories of humans in Britain EEA and non-EEA. Non-EEA equates to sub human. Just like Nazzis used to hate the "others". Calm down, dear. Migrants, both EEA and non-EEA, are welcome and indeed required for their skills. A skills shortage is an imperative reason for immigratio...

Re: Taking my non EEA dependent father to Ireland

He isnt in a condition to be put on a long flight and then live there by himself for months while I try to apply for his visa. Mission Ireland is easier because I will lie him down in my car back seat and do a few pit stops at hotels etc on my way. This is absolute hell. I have not seen the inside o...

Re: Taking my non EEA dependent father to Ireland

mkhan2525,

I want to apply for an EEA family permit for my father. As far as I understand this can be done with a national ID card apart from pp. Please correct me if I am wrong?

Thx

Re: Taking my non EEA dependent father to Ireland

Father may still need to show id at some stage of journey. How will he do that? An SS gig via Eire by someone who has previoualy declared an intention to settle in UK may not fly in light of recent changes to EEA Regs (yet to be challenged). Is father actually dependent on you? Do you have evidence...

Re: Taking my non EEA dependent father to Ireland

It wouldnt be his passport as its still with the UK HO however it would be a national ID document that proves his nationality and also relationship to me as his son.

Taking my non EEA dependent father to Ireland

Hi All, I have had tremendous advice from all of you in the past. I have had a few weeks to think over my situation and I think with Brexit fast approaching I should attempt the surinder singh route. I am British and my non-EEA fathers pp is with the HO for a discretionary leave application. I can g...
