Re: ILR/PR application sponsor

(b) As a permanent resident thereafter. Thank Richard, Just a last question on the above. In order to sponsor her myself for the period after I became permanent resident, it implies that I need to be working as a qualified person regardless of having Permanent residence, is that correct? No. Once y...

Re: Permanent Residence card, Grace Period?

And a last question:

If I submit the application without including a valid passport but only the expired one, would the Home Office refuse the application and automatically request my daughter to leave the UK? Even if I include a covering letter explaining the situation?

Permanent Residence card, Grace Period?

Good morning, It is time for me to apply for a Permanent Residence card for my 15 years old daughter (I am the sponsor, an Italian national and also a Permanent Residence card holder since 2015). She has been living with me for about 5 years now and was issued with a residence card since her arrival...

Re: ILR/PR application sponsor

No. Once you are a permanent resident, you do not need to be a 'qualified person'. That's wonderful news! I was about to give up on this and apply for her Italian citizenship instead. I will just submit her PR application right away then. As part of the application I will simply submit evidences th...

ILR/PR application sponsor

Greetings. Does the ILR or PR application require the same named sponsor during the initial residency application (EEA family member)? Example: I am an Italian national, 5 years ago I obtained a family member of a EEA national residency card for my daughter (she was 10 yrs old and I haven't register...

Re: Non-EU parents of a British citizen

Thank you both for the quick reply. What If I apply through my wife who is an Italian (EEA member) citizen? She didn't apply for British citizenship as me but She also has the permanent residence card, can I get my mother a family permit through my wife? I can definitely prove that we have been send...

Non-EU parents of a British citizen

I am a British citizen, my mother came to visit me and received a visitor stamp on her Brazilian passport. She is financially dependent on me. I'd like to apply for a visa for her to stay longer than 6 months, Ideally something that would allow her to work and live here legally but I would also cons...

Re: Permanent Residency

Interesting to note that docs issued in earlier years appear to have contained an expiry date: http://www.immigrationboards.com/europe-immigration-forum/name-and-picture-of-each-member-state-s-residence-card-t82825.html A SAR from UKVI may help clarify what OP actually has. @mzotti , how long had y...

Permanent Residency

I am an Italian citizen and was issued with an UK "Registration Certificate" card in 2007, I don't remember exactly the process I went through to obtain it as I had some help from a friend. It has no expiration date and all it says is, Type of Document: Registration Certificate . I would l...
