Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

And finally today my status turned to printing, ironically whilst I was standing in the passport control queue at Zurich airport behind the least competent people possible, having watched all those with EU/EFTA passports breeze through the gates. @don dragon hopefully yours is not far behind ! Appli...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

So I'm now a whole month since my estimated Issue date of the 10th Jan and still stuck at 'processing' having read the last few comments I'm wondering if it's worth poking the tiger via webchat or just leaving it and seeing how long it takes to run.

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

I thought I'd drop another data point in so that those waiting don't feel alone; Application received: 25/10/21 Documents acknowledged and status moved to verifying: 4/11/21 Estimated Issue date: 10/1/22 Status changed to 'processing': 13/1/22 So that's currently three weeks past estimated Issue dat...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Regarding when you move abroad, check with Royal Mail the terms of their mail redirect service. I know that for standard first and second class mail, it doesn't matter what the postage to your original address was as you are paying a fee yourself for the redirection element from your old address to ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

That sounds like good news simontse, mine went in on the 2nd November, so looking at how the timelines have stretched I'm expecting something in about May/June time. I had a conversation with someone with contacts in the embassy, who said that they were swamped processing the applications in London,...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Sweet Mistakes: you shouldn't need anything for your grandfather's second and third wives, as they are irrelevant to proving your lineage. The certificates you need are to prove that you are his descendent, not his entire history, nor the history of any of his wives (including your grandmother after...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Been lurking for a while and I've seen that it seems the time scales are looking less than the 6 month estimates, glad to see that Wavey who started this thread has got his certificate now, so I thought I'd add my details to help aid other lurkers tracking their applications. For reference I applied...
