Re: Original documents not returned!!

This might help, although I have no idea how it may/may not affect your application:

Re: NCS + JCAP Officer says no payslips/HMRC letter required

I wasn't even asked for a letter from my employer - all I included was complete employment history and current employers tax address.

I assume getting information from HMRC (if required) would be easily obtainable by HO anyway ?

Re: NCS + JCAP Officer says no payslips/HMRC letter required

I was told exactly the same. No P60's or any other HMRC document was included in my application and I'm also non-EEA citizen.

It would be great if a senior member can give their thoughts to this ?

Re: How to revoke citizenship obtained by error

Sounds quite personal.

Live and let live mate - it's got nothing to do with you. Like the member said above, why don't you focus your energies on something positive.

Re: Naturalisation Process Times Based on Nationality?

Hmmm.... I received a separate email acknowledgment :)

Email acknowledgement received Monday. Post received (acknowledgement + Biometrics) on Thursday, dated from Monday.

I think it's a good time to put this information on timelines!!!

Re: Naturalisation Process Times Based on Nationality?

Hello again,

Wasn't sure where to post this question and didn't want to start a new topic - has anyone else received their acknowledgement letter (post) and biometric letter in the same envelope?

Reading numerous timelines, it seemed quite clear that they were sent separately....

Thanks, ohara!

Nearly 3000 Americans getting their UK Citizenship in 2015! I wouldn't have imagined a number anywhere close to that ! I would have guessed somewhere in the 100's.

I also wonder how many of those kept dual nationality??

Re: Naturalisation Process Times Based on Nationality?

I've observed through the processing times threads that the recent average process time is about 2 months.

That's pretty good considering the 6 months they advise.

Is anyone aware of any cyclical/seasonal delays?

Re: Naturalisation Process Times Based on Nationality?

That's good to know it has no bearing, officially anyway.

I have heard there are more checks leading to longer processing time for nationals of certain countries.

Finally, perhaps of the "special relationship" the UK and USA share :)

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Naturalisation Process Times Based on Nationality?

HI All, Just registered today and it's my first post! So was hoping if you can shed light on my question... When applying for BC, does the home nationality affect the British Naturalisation process? Also, more particularly, does anyone have any experience with an American applying for British Citize...
