Re: Date of online application

Thank you both for your very helpful advice.

Is the best way to contact UKVI over the phone? I can't seem to speak to anyone when I call...

Any advice on getting in contact with them?

Re: Date of online application

It seems extremely harsh if the ECO ignores all docs dated post online application submission date.

I could cancel my online app and resubmit it, but then I would have to ask for a reimbursement. Potentially could end up £1,200 down...

What do you guys think?

Re: Date of online application

From the link you have posted I infer that the date of my online application submission is the cut-off date.

Does that mean that all the documents I have organised that are dated after that will not be considered!?

Date of online application

Hello. Does the date of the online application submission (for a fince visa) act as a cut-off date for all the submission docs? We have already submitted our online application, but are organising the other documents and we have been informed the 6 month bank statements and payslips must be from the...

Hello. Just finalising the documents for our fiance application (I am the sponsor). I have a couple of questions: 1) are documents considered that are dated after the date we submitted the online application? Copy of Passport

Hello, I have seen conflicting information online about the certified copy of passport required as a sponsor to a fiancee visa application. 1) can a solicitor certify a copy of a passport used in the sponsor's docs for a fiancee visa application? 2) should it be a copy of each page of the passport, ...

Re: 6 months Bank Statements

Thanks.

So just so I am clear.

You are saying I do not need an explanation why over £1,250 has entered my account addressed to my fiancée whilst she has been staying with me in UK?

I simply need proof of my earnings over the last 6 months via payslips and 6 months of bank statements?

Thank you!

Re: 6 months Bank Statements

Thanks for the quick reply. I am more asking in terms of: While my fiancée has been visiting me in UK I have received multiple transactions on her behalf from a friend to help with living costs. These transactions are all entitled for 'my fiancée's name'. Will these transactions look suspicious in a...

6 months Bank Statements

Hello, When submitting the application for the Fiancee Visa. my fiancee has to submit 6 months of my bank statements. 1) What is this for? 2) If there are entries into my account from a 3rd party with the name of my fiancee on them e.g. £220 for Alice. Will I need to explain these entries? Many than...

Help with VAF4A Form

Hello, I am a British citizen. My fiancee is from non-EU. She has visited me 3 times on a visitor visa and each time she has lived with me, where I have taken financial responsibility for her. Re: Booking a Register Office and Giving Notice

I have heard about some registry offices allowing provisional bookings.

Is this a good idea?

What else can I organise in order to show we are committed to getting married?

many thanks!

Hello, My fiancee and I are in the process of organising all of the docs she will need before she goes back home to apply for her fiancee visa. Her flight is at the end of Feb. Hello, My fiancee and I are currently completing the application for her Fiancee Visa. She is currently visiting me in the UK and is planning to return home at the end of February. Re: Giving Notice to marry

Another query I have is, although I do meet the minimum financial requirements to get married, I don't have a huge amount of extra money to spend on a wedding etc. Will our application be looked on less favourably if the evidence we have for our engagement and ceremony are not very expensive? e.g. c...

Re: Giving Notice to marry

Bathanza, thank you.

But where are these detailed statistics you speak of?

I am still inferring from what you said that you think it is best to avoid the potential risks and wait to Give Notice once my fiance has returned with her fiancee visa?

Re: Giving Notice to marry

What do you mean by "She should not be spending more time in the UK than she does in her home country"? She is effectively 'living' in the UK on a 'visitor visa', and effectively 'circumventing the immigration rules' if her aim is to settle by applying for a fiance visa. This is not permit...

Re: Giving Notice to marry

By marriage visa i mean Fiancee Visa - as in she has the intention of remaining in the UK after we are married.

She has been in the UK for 6 months in 2015 and from March of 2016 until now.

Why would it be pointless to Give Notice before she leaves?

Giving Notice to marry

Hello, Just to explain my situation in brief. My fiancee is a non-EU citizen. We met over 2 and a half years ago in her home country. Last year she visited the UK on a short stay student visa for 6 months and this year on two consecutive 6 month visitor visas. She has lived with me on every occasion...
