I am reapplying for RIght of abode as the only reason they rejected was we did not submit Original Birth Certificate.
However they kept the Notarised copy of my passport.

DI have to send another Notarised copy or just the colored copy my passport is enough.

They did give appeal form IAF2 and this can take a minimum of 6 months to 12 months. My son's right of abode application has been rejected as I submitted photocopy of his English birth certificate. The hindi one was original. Hello Praks, Yes you will need a Sworn Affidavit from Indian Embassy. It is basically saying that you the father has no issue with you not being in India and wife applying for Indian passport. ROA is only for people who are British Citizen and not for other nationalities. You are misinterpreting the information. The guideline states that you cannot apply for COE to ROA if you already have got British Passport, however if you dont have British Passport and you are British Citizen then you ...

My concern is if I should put child's nationality as Indian or British.
As forum says British and the notes say if it is British then you cannot have ROA on other passport

I am getting contrasting answers
My friend who has done it says the Nationality has to be Indian as it clearly mentions for Right of abode that if he is British then they do not QUALIFY for ROA.

You would have first got indian passport for your child You are then applying for Right of abode So obviously the nationality will be indian for child.
