Re: does the sponsor need to send everything to Sheffield?

I'm sure it'll be fine for you. Sorry to ask another seemingly idiotic question, but...am I right in thinking that the visa centre (in St Petersburg) will keep her passport until the initial 30 day entry visa is ready to collect, or they only scan your passport at the biometrics appointment and the...

You're welcome, good luck with it all. We applied non priority, today is the 56th working day since my wife gave her biometrics, so it's just possible we may get some news this week:-)

Re: does the sponsor need to send everything to Sheffield?

Hello, The information on the official sites seems very vague and unclear regarding the documents submission for spouse settlement visas. My wife (currently in Russia) has done the online application, and has her biometrics appointment in Russia next week. Am I correct in thinking that she needs on...

Re: Spouse Visa - No Email Received

Ours were received in Sheffield on May 24th, but they have never emailed to acknowledge, I think that's very common!

Re: Spouse Visa for My Russian Wife - Please Help

Yes it's encouraging! We didn't pay priority, but I see that that in May they were still saying 95% of all applications were done with 60 working days. I must admit I've always expected the first development would be getting the supporting documents back, as I've heard that reported several times be...

Hi Simon

Thanks for your reply. Yes it is frustrating, but learning to be patient! We did get the email a few days after the biometrics, so all good.

I'll keep you updated when I hear more

Hi Im a UK citizen, and my wife is Russian. We married in Cyprus in January, and once her passports had all been changed to her married name, we applied for the spouse visa through the office in Moscow (non priority). She gave her biometrics and passport on May 19th, and I sent all other documents f...

TB Test Certificate

My wife has just got her TB test certificate, but I notice that the visa category says "Family Reunion", which is incorrect, it should be "family of a settled person"

I presume it will be ok, since it's still a TB test for a UK visa?

Can anyone advise?
