Visiting Ireland with Indefinate Leave to remain in UK

Hi,

Me and my wife have a British Passports, however my son has an Indian Passport with ILR (Indefinate Leave to remain). We are planning to visit Ireland for 4 days as a tourist.

Would my son need a visa to travel to Ireland.

Regards
Matt

Re: Applying PR for my son

My spouse and I received ILR since we have been in Tire1 for over 5 years.

We thought, we will take British Citizenship directly rather than taking ILR for my son.

Re: Applying PR for my son

Is that the only form that needs to be filled in? The set(f) form has very little information being asked about the sponsor.

Applying PR for my son

Hi,

Me and my wife got our british citizenship. We had not applied for Permanant residency for our son as he still has is dependent visa valid. Now, I would like to apply for PR for my son.

Which form should I fill in? Is it Set(F) or Set (o).

My son is 4 years old.

Re: Son born in India needs to be naturalized

Thank you for your reply. I am looking at section 3(5) https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/583385/MN1_Guide_January_2017.pdf What is your opinion on this one? Section 3(5) To qualify under this section the child and their mother and father should have lived in t...

Re: Son born in India needs to be naturalized

That is right. One of the main reasons for not taking a PR for my son was to dodge the fees.

At this stage, he is still holds his Tire 1 dependent visa until Mar 2017. Is there a rule that a child should hold a PR before being naturalised ?

We also extended all our Tire1 visas in 2014 and it expires in Mar 2017. Meanwhile, my spouse and I took permanent citizenship and British passport. We did not ta...
