Re: refused citizenship because of continuous reckonable residence year- Advice needed

I also think that they only refuse the citizenship application if you were away for more than 6 weeks (six continuous weeks). If you you were away for less than that time and randomly during the year, that should not impact the application. According to the EU Directive, any one can be away for a to...

Re: refused citizenship because of continuous reckonable residence year- Advice needed

I'm not sure why was your first application rejected. I know a friend who was away for 6 months, provided a separate sheet and simply said that he was away because one of his relative had died. He got his approval in 5 months. He did not provide any proof either. Did you not mention in your first ap...

Re: Period of Approved absence from Ireland on stamp 4

6 months is the maximum anyone on stamp 4 eu dam can stay out of the country in 1 year, however, you have to provide explanation for all of the stays longer than 6 weeks i.e. a month and half, while applying for the passport.

Re: EU5 Retention and Submission of Documents for Naturalisation

Okay - Cool , thanks for your reply.
So in general, we are not supposed to submit the relevant documents, but only when/if requested? would that be right?

EU5 Retention and Submission of Documents for Naturalisation

If anyone has retained their right of residence following a divorce from their EU spouse, are such people supposed to submit documents of their ex-spouse's activities before the divorce took place, while applying for naturalization? I have read a few posts, where people were required to submit their...

Re: Citizenship Application Status

Looks like they did not have enough time to go through all applicants (MAYBE!) and they might decide to go through your application and examine it at a later stage. That's very inefficient though OR they might simply be busy.

Re: Anyone got approval - applied Nov 2016 (spouse Irish cit

All that I can say is that you should keep annoying them and following up with them re status of your applications. This is really unacceptable that they go back to the old ways and start delaying the applicants. It's going to be a disaster in that case. They have to find a way out and speed up thin...

Re: Irish citizenship help with foreign offence issue

As far as I think, the answer to the question is definitely ''No''. As regards having the late registration fine written in the passport, I think it might be worth mentioning this in you ''cover note'' and you can let them know that you did not have to appear in the court for this. I don't think the...

Re: EU1 Parent Refusal

I think first, we need to know why exactly have they refused it and what s the exact reason for refusal. Only then we can establish as to what should be done. So ask "them" for an explanation of their decision. Only saying that the parent is not a qualified dependent doesn't make any sense...
