Re: GNIB card renewal and citizenship

That must be how people get a 5 years extension then I.e. by filling an EU1, rather than applying for PR.

Re: GNIB card renewal and citizenship

PR stands for Permanent Residence. Normally people apply for 10 years PR as well as citizenship at the same time (once they have completed 5 years residence). I am not a 100% sure, but if you are living with your EU spouse, you might be able to get your stamp 4 extended for another 5 years on the GN...

Re: GNIB card renewal and citizenship

Technically speaking, I don't have any objection on the first answer that you have given. It is very obvious that you can not give an argument to INIS that you need your stamp extended because you have a pending citizenship application. I was under the impression that the asker has already applied f...

Re: Need help on citizenship application date

Hi Bro, shouldn't be a problem I think -- By the time they start assessing your application, 5 days gap is going to be passed already by then. Plus, some people do not get the stamp on their passports for a couple of months due to several issues and they also prove their dates with the help of the l...

Re: Seeking advice for delay on citizenship application

I feel sorry for you and others. I think you those of you who are family members of the EU citizens, should all make a complaint using the below link that I found on the SolvitIreland website. Quote: The next option available for applicants is to submit a formal complaint to the European Commission ...

Re: Absence from Ireland for more than 1 Month (Stamp 4 EU F

You're right. However, one question still remains: Do we need to let them know in advance or can we do that after returning from our holidays as well (within the 7 days limit)?

Plus, can this be done by simply writing an email to the EU Treaty Rights section?

What's your opinion on the above?

This should not happen. Has there been any explanation from the relevant department regarding the delays for the approvals?

Self-Employed people applying for permanent residence

Hi All,

If someone is self-employed and issues several invoices to his/her clients per month, do they need to enclose all of them (for the previous 6 months), while applying for PR or only a couple of them will be okay?

Has anyone had this experience before?!? Any suggestions?!?

Thanks,

Re: Absence from Ireland for more than 1 Month (Stamp 4 EU F

Yes - That's right. There is and has to be a reason for every rule, however, majority of the EU FAM Stamp 4 holders don't know about this at all. One of my friends just spent three months outside of the State and never informed anyone.

Re: Immigration Officers Not Knowing What To Do

I think we simply need more clarity. There has to be clear rules and they must be communicated clearly with the immigrants. If some of them are treated in one way and others in the other way, this will obviously be wrong, as all immigration officer must follow the EU rules. I have been on stamp 4 fo...

Absence from Ireland for more than 1 Month (Stamp 4 EU FAM)

Hi All, ...So here is the question: Who has seen the below condition? (2) A family member to whom paragraph (1) applies who is not a national of a Member State shall notify the registration officer of the registration district in which he or she is located— (b) of an absence by him or her from the S...

Re: Irish citizenship references question

I haven't applied myself, however, I know some of the people who are waiting and experiencing delays. One of my friends was telling me yesterday, that he knows about a person who sued the immigration authorities back in the past, because they were holding his wife's passport, and he won the case. What's your timeline like and how long has it been so far? Are you also experiencing any delays?

Re: Will temp stamp 4 suffice??????

Hi Guys, I had a 5 years stamp 4eufam. I just received a letter from INNIS this money to provide my up to date GNIB. I have applied for the renewal of the stamp and have received letter for temp stamp and a due date for 17 Jan 18. My question is, if I send them copy of the temp stamp, will be enoug...

Re: Immigration Officers Not Knowing What To Do

I would suggest that we should all complain against this sort of behaviour. I have heard it from a couple of other people as well, that they have started to treat Stamp 4 EU FAM holders in a very bad manner and if we don't do anything, this will continue to happen.

Sure bro! I applied on the 21st of August 2016. They required some additional documents in the beginning of October 2016, which is sent the very next day and got the approval on 23rd of January 2017. The whole process took only 5 months and I was quite impressed with it. :D This was the case 6 month...

I haven't done it myself, but this is exactly what I plan to do when it comes to that stage, ( :D ) as I do not have any letters from the Revenue and only have them online. There should be no problems with it as far as I think, because they do not require originals from you and only copies. If they ...
