I do remember reading this as well and indeed on the guidance form that accompanies the application form it says 'It’s not mandatory to use the EEA(EFM) application form but it will assist us in dealing with your application more efficiently if you do.' Hi, I am in a similar situation to you and was wondering the same. It would make sense that you would have the right to be here while your application was being considered because as you say, the timescales wouldn't work otherwise.
