If you are married to a British Citizen you can apply immediately. If a foreign national then you have to await the 12 months after ILR was granted .

Just a update . Husband applied for ILR ( after 6yr DLR route) Application sent Sept 1st 2016 Decision given 24th February 2017 Seems they have used nearly the full 6 months to decide quite straight forward applications. Shall now be going for Naturalisation on the married to British Citizen route ....
