Re: India tourist visa - appointment query

Though I havent experienced the same but you may apply for e tourist visa here.
https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
https://www.hcilondon.gov.in/page/lates ... rist-visa/

Second link is bit confusing, though it only means e-Visa issued before Oct 6 2021 is suspended.

Re: OCI card for child born in UK having British passport

Your and your wife's application would have direct claim as you held Indian passport.

Your daughter would have indirect claim as child of earlier indian national. IMHO you should first obtain OCi for yourself and wife. Then on the basis of your oci apply for her.

https://indianfrro.gov.in/eservices/home.jsp

Usually one needs to get in touch with FRRO office falling under the geographical jurisdiction but as of now its online.

Also entry visa is usually max for 1 year. There must be compelling reasons for extension.

Can I use the contract for my current employment which was signed 2 years ago but I am still with the same company or do I need a fresh letter?

A fresh letter is always better, it should carry details of your employment.

Re: Update OCI on Aadhar Card

An Aadhaar card is not proof of citizenship. You don't have to be a citizen to get one, just a resident for 182+ days. Good question though, I'm not sure if UDAI have thought of such a scenario to change citizenship details. None the less its an useful document that does simplyfy lot of ekyc, sim c...

Re: Update OCI on Aadhar Card

I don't think there is any provision to update or alter the information in Aadhar based on the renunciation of Indian Citizenship. As mentioned in response here, Aadhar is not a proof of citizenship but ID and can be applied by anybody who is resident in India. No only indian citizens are allowed t...

Update OCI on Aadhar Card

I wanted to check if anyone has updated their OCI status on previously held Aadhar Card, i.e. If they held an Aadhar Card as an Indian Citizen and updated British Citizenship & OCI details on Aadhar Card. I'm aware an OCI card holder requires 182 days stay before applying for new Aadhar Card, th...

That is not true, my marriage certificate clearly states my wifes maiden name, as well new name also, the date of the chan...

That is very helpful. After name change i will get passport with my new surname, so I will also need to apply for a new BRP as well. When I apply for BRP in my new name, what should I mention as date of name change? The date of your name change is the date on your marriage certificate, however, you...
