Re: Travelling to India

How many days you intend to visit India? If it is 30 days or so, surrender Indian passport, get e-visa and go there. After returning, apply for OCI in UK. If your stay is 3 months or more, then you can take long term visa and apply for OCI in india. If you can wait, get OCI work first and then go t...

Re: Confusion regarding maintenance

Maintenance from sponsor has to be certified by sponsor. If you use funds from mother etc that won't count as the same. Above a you need to be sure whether you are claiming points on your own basis or your sponsor is certifying your maintenance. I have you the link with document which tells you exac...

Re: New born baby Tier 2 dependant visa without a passport

I hope you are aware as long as you are not required to travel in and out of UK there is no need to apply for a indian passport and get a visa stamped, you may save a lot of money and hassle that way. In case you do wish to travel get an indian passport first and then you may apply for T2 D visa in ...

Re: Travelling to India

I think you are confusing yourself with surrender of indian passport and OCI. DO NOT travel on Indian passport after getting your British Passport, as not only would you encounter a penalty when you surrender your passport, but your indian passport as well might be seized at the airport on the way b...

Re: Confusion regarding maintenance

Maintenance is certified by the employer on the CoS. A Copy of the CoS and letter from employer certifying the same is what you need to provide. As you suggest he has already mentioned on your offer letter you can use that as the letter along with CoS if the last line under "Migrant's employmen...

Re: Consent from Partner on ILR

Since this is your application and your bank statments HO are requesting your consent to conduct checks on your account.

Consent from partner is not required. Also no need to send her Bank Statements.

If however, the bank account is joined then consent is required.

Since, you applied only yesterday, you may write to them explaining the mistake. Refer it your application number.

I do believe they would accept the same.

Re: Changing information on COS

Even if you continue with maiden name (old name) on CoS and married name (new name) on passport there are no issues. When it comes to next application whether you can show you changed name after being granted previous visa. My wife's case was similar, right after arriving to UK with old name on Cos ...

If you don't mind I'm just curious to know if you can comfortably apply with 28 days to completing 5 years, why would you like to use the second option i.e., apply before that, unless it's massively going to reduce time, also, most of the examples I read were running out of visa and hence sought of ...

As long as it's within 10 working days its all in order, even if it's 10th day.

Beyond that, if you feel you didn't get priority treatment you can always raise a complaint.

We personally submitted all relevant documents covering full period and I suppose you need to as ILR and tier 1 are different. You don't need to show cohabitation at visa stage however, starting from ILR onwards your wife won't be a dependent in this country rather own her status by herself. Short a...

Do they have to show maintenance funds (for 90 days) (For extension, when they apply without main applicant)? yes Does my wife need to pass English language test?
