Re: Band C speeding and naturalisation

Thanks for sharing the guide. But can someone please advise on how long do I have to wait after getting 6 poins/disqualification before applying for naturalisation?

Re: Band C speeding and naturalisation

Thanks a lot @alterhase58, really appreciate your prompt response.

So if I get 6 points or disqualification, I will have to wait for 3 years before applying for naturalisation?

I have a clear license and this is my first driving offense of any kind. I have been driving since 2018 (so 5 years now), and I drive around 8k miles every year.

Band C speeding and naturalisation

Hello, I feel very guilty and stupid of a speeding incident back in Feb 2023, I don’t know want to justify it with any excuses. Received a SJPN a couple of days ago. I am currently on ILR and my naturalisation would be due for application in October. From my google search, it looks like I will be ge...

Re: Current super priority service

I understand, thank you CR001. As far as the documents go, since I am switching employers within the UK my application only asks for Passport and current BRP. I have uploaded both plus my residence proof on UKVCAS portal. Would you suggest to upload any other documents? Please reply asap as today is...

Current super priority service

Hi, I read a few posts where folks have complained not getting a decision on time even after applying with priority service because of the backlog due to Covid. Just wanted to know if things have improved at all. My biometrics appointment is on 23rd Aug and it is a super priority application (to get...

Re: Biometric appointment

Hi, From this post, it does look like there might be an email sent out for appointment booking. https://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tier-2-employer-sponsored-visas/ukvcas-appointment-email-t302785.html?hilit=book%20appointment#p1910029 In my case, the employer's attorney have submitted the applicat...

Re: Biometric appointment

Hi CR001,

My new employer's immigration lawyer has submitted the application on my behalf. And they have let me know that I should now be getting an email from UK immigration service to book an appointment for Biometrics. Is this possible? Or there has been some misunderstanding?

Thanks,
Ravin

Biometric appointment

Hello All,

Can anyone please let me know when can I expect an email from UKVAS to schedule BRP appointment? My Skilled worker application has been submitted on 9th August 2021. I am in the UK and changing employer. So the change was required to a new SW visa.

Thanks,
Ravin

Re: Change of Employer; Tier 2 General to Skilled Worker visa

You are not "required" to get a 2 year CoS and visa but, as CR001 pointed out, with a 1 year visa there is a risk that your dependants' visas may be curtailed. Hi Manci, looks like my new employer has made up their mind on only give one year visa as I am eligible for ILR in March 2022. I ...

Re: New Employer start date

My understanding is your work start date with new employer can be any date on or after the date mentioned on approved CoS. You can also serve notice period for your previous employer beyond the start date on your CoS.

Re: Change of Employer; Tier 2 General to Skilled Worker visa

Thanks a lot for your reply Manci. My only confusion outstanding now is about the visa expiry date of my dependent. Even if my new skilled worker visa's expiry is later than the expiry date of my dependent's visa, it is going to get cancelled when I apply for ILR. And my dependent will be applying f...

Re: Dependents of a Skilled Worker Visa holder and ILR related queries

Exactly, as when my wife will be eligible to apply for ILR (in March 2023), my SW visa would have expired and I would be ILR. So what is the best way to go forward? Applying for a 2 year SW visa instead of 1 year?

Re: Dependents of a Skilled Worker Visa holder and ILR related queries

Thanks a lot for replying @CR001. Just a follow up question, so let's assume I get my new 1-year SW visa expiring in August 2022, and apply for ILR in March 2022. Now, will there be any problem as my new SW visa would expire before my dependents current visa expiry which is April 2023? Or will they ...

Dependents of a Skilled Worker Visa holder and ILR related queries

Hi, I will be getting on a new Skilled Worker visa next month, but had a question about my wife and son (1 year old) who is currently on a Tier 2 (General) Dependent visa. Now because I would be eligible for ILR in March 2022, my new employer is asking whether it's ok to apply for just a 1 year SW v...

Switch to new employer on Skilled Worker visa

Hi, They say that you should only resign after getting an answer on new application. But how does that work? Doesn't your old visa get cancelled when your new application is approved? If so, how do you serve your notice period? I am expecting my potential new employer to assign me a CoS this week an...

Change of Employer; Tier 2 General to Skilled Worker visa

Hello folks, I have been in the UK since April 2017 on Tier 2 General visa which was extended last year for another 3 years (expiring in 2023). I have got a verbal offer letter from a new employer and am really excited to join them. I had a few questions regarding change of visa, hope you could help...

Minor error on Application Form

Hi, There is section of application form where is says 'Form Completed By' which takes details from the Visa4Uk website account and it doesn't come in the preview section of the application form.
