Re: Delay to settlement visas

I got that a few times when calling UKVI too but it depends who you are speaking to. I was lucky to be speaking to a helpful person who actually assisted with my matter rather than saying be patient - which is the response I got previously. But bearing in mind - it's important to note that an extern...

Delay to settlement visas

Hi all, I called UKVI recently as my query had not been answered and it had been over a week. My previous status check said that the ECO has not assessed my case and it's been over 5 weeks and we chose priority. The call centre escalated my case and said they will investigate this matter with HO. I ...

UKVI online enquiry

Hi guys Has anyone sent an enquiry about status check this week? I got told last week that they are slightly behind their visa target in terms of duration but don't know about the call centre staff who respond to status check enquiries. I sent my enquiry early this week and still have not received a...

Re: Spouse visa appeal

Hi, To my knowledge, new evidence is generally not accepted in appeals. An appeal should only be lodged when UKVI have made the incorrect decisions from the information provided. It might be an idea to make a fresh application as an appeal can take up to 1 year and in the end the outcome may not be ...

Re: Spouse visa pakistan - documents checklist please review

If you ho onto call log list - you will be able to see recent history. You should delete your spouse as a contact so that the telephone number is visible. I also advise that you should send screenshots from your spouse side too.

Re: General election announced - will this affect your visa?

"Purdah" affects new policy decisions. It does not affect routine work. So your visa should be processed as normal. The good thing is that "Purdah" means that there won't be any new Immigration Rules till June 6th. I agree that purdah affects new policy but govt published guidan...

General election announced - will this affect your visa?

As you may know, Theresa May has just announced a general election for 8th June 2017. This means the official "purdah" period will be approx 6 to 4 weeks before the election. For those unfamiliar with purdah - this is a term in UK Govt to describe the pre election period before an election...

Agree - not necessary to do so and in my experience, doing anything like that in Pakistan without reference, will just frustrate you.

Hi,

The UK visa form asks whether the applicant had any previous nationalities so i think you should include the certificate (better safe than sorry!)

If you received a receipt of the successful payment and the online application has a tick next to IHS payment that you have nothing to worry about.

Re: Accommodation Spouse visa

You'll need to get a housing report done by a surveyor or local council. They count about £120. Here's the link to the people I used weblink removed

This needs to be done within 28 days of online application so you'll need to time it properly.

Re: Accommodation Spouse visa

Hi, If you earn above the threshold on a salaried job then monthly rent don't be taken into account neither will any small to medium monthly costs. That's why the minimum income threshold was created. You will however need to get a property report done on your flat to ensure it is suitable for anoth...

Re: English (UKVI IELTS) - send original certifiate or coy?

As you're providing UK NARIC certificate then that should be absolutely fine. You will have to say you're exempt from the English requirement and state the degree. Guidance on this provided by HO also confirms this.

Hi,

You will need the original certificate. English requirement is one of the main requirements and advice on the govt supporting documents page state that this must be original.

Hi, I'm afraid if it has been over two weeks then they might do. However, there is another way and happy if anyone disagrees with me on this; 1) You can physically go to the building if you can't get the number and can't track it down. 2) You can request a refund on the application and submit again....

UKVI helpline a rip off?

Has anyone had a bad experience with the UKVI helpline? They charge per minute to talk to an advisor who really doesn't say much information and refuses to check the status as it is too early. Inconsistent knowledge between call centre attendees which is annoying. Anyway -has anyone ever managed to ...
