British & European

This might be a silly and purely theoretical question. I applied for my PR via as an EU citizen which was approved a while back. Then I obtained my British citizenship shortly after. So I am now EU/British citizen in possession of two passports: UK passport and another (non UK) EU passport. Out of i...

Re: Residence card for AN form

If you made bookings via internet you email search might still bring this history up. I don't think payable SAR will offer much more to what you need. I only used the free one and even this one has an option about getting information on landing ards etc. SAR request take cca 20 days after acknowledg...

Re: Residence card for AN form

Hello, My situation was similar - date wise. I applied for DCPR and I applied for BC straight away as I knew HO had a record of the date when I acquired automatic right of PR, which in my case was years back (if you are an EU citizen this happens automatically and the blue book of DCPR merely clarif...

Re: Address change while expecting decision

I can't set-up a redirection where I live as the only thing I have is a lease contract (not accepted by RM), but no bills or statement on this address (secondary-work home). This should not be a problem. I have done several redirections and never had to send in a rental, lease or purchase agreement...

Re: Address change while expecting decision

Well this is awkward. I did in the end get an email confirmation that my details are to be updated soon...but I updated HO address on 18th (takes 72 h), I've checked HO website for status on 19th and it's changed to DECIDED with effective date of 17th Oct. I won't have access to the old property fro...

Address change while expecting decision

Hello, I am expecting a decision on my citizenship anytime now (early June application), I've updated my home address at: https://visa-address-update.service.gov.uk/ as I am moving in next few days. At the end of the process, there was mentioning of "confirmation email". I've received no c...

Decision letter - and RM redirection

Hello, I am about to move houses and my application is still in the decision process. In my cover letter submitted with AN application I have stated that I would likely to move due to lease, at which point I've provided my permanent address (owned home, visit over the weekends) and my "temporar...

Re: Am I entitled to apply for naturalisation?

Hello, You will first need to apply for a permanent residence under EEA route (https://www.gov.uk/eea-registration-certificate/permanent-residence). Once your acquired right is confirmed by PR document, you will be able to apply for your citizenship - this must be a year after you've acquired the ri...

Re: PR 5 + 1.

I have never done or needed an SAR but perhaps this thread gives some pointers: https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/fast-track-sar-for-pr-date-t217409.html?hilit=SAR Thank you! That's very handy indeed! I can't see the option to search on this form... but admittedly, this might ha...

Re: PR 5 + 1.

Have you been told which date you actually acquired PR status? This may not necessarily be the date on the card. The applicant has to prove the PR date. If you don't have the date then an SAR could help (see other threads on here). Your assumption of 5+1 is correct of course but applications have b...

PR 5 + 1.

Hello, I am a little puzzled to what is needed for AN application. Quick history: Nationality: EU Language criteria met: Uni degree. Life in the UK: Passed Full time Employment history since 2010 (Settled here since 2005; Student & Self-employed at time but lets discount these two options). PR c...
