INIS replied my email saying that doesn't matter when the spouse becomes Irish as long as at the time of application the spouse is Irish citizen and of course the other conditions are met e.g. three years being married/partner living together, at least 3 years being resident in Ireland, etc.

Thank you very much.

I understand then that if the non EU wants to apply as the spouse of Irish national will need to wait 3 years counting from the day the EU spouse become Irish and not since they get married.

I have a photocopy of the card. I would like to get a new card or report it to INIS before my trip but unfortunatelly havent been possible to make an appointment with them yet, seems like a impossible mission.

I sent an email today and they quickly just confirm me that my documents were received and that I am included for next 26 Nov ceremony, so just a matter of get the invitation letter. maxymo when did you apply as i think if your application is from 2017 or 2016 you may have a chance because i think they are prioritizing people who applied in 2016 its strange thet are sending approval in November asking for documents unless they want to include people yea i think the deadline of ...
