Re: Spouse Visa - VAF4A appendix 2 questions

Hi I am on here asking questions as you are, so no expert, but I am almost certain that your maintenance payments will not affect you meeting the financial requirements. The requirement does not take into account the sponsor's outgoings, which is why a lot of people feel it is unfair. For example, s...

Necessary to send child passport?

Does an applicant need to send birth certificate and passport for his stepchildren or just for his biological children? They live with him and his wife and are British Citizens. Thank you.

Hi My son-in-law is due to apply for FLR as a partner to his wife, my daughter. They have 2 children together, both British citizens. However, my daughter has children to a previous marriage who live with them. Does he need to provide the birth certificates and passports for his stepchildren also? T...

New form and fee

Please can anyone advise me? After a long process helping a friend with and FLR (FP) application, it was finally sent off yesterday. I have literally just discovered that the form updated and the fee increased on Wednesday. I am so upset and worried for him as I'd been stressing so much I never cons...

Re: National Identity Card or passport?

The only thing we're struggling with now is a letter addressed to his son at his home he shares with his mum. She doesn't have any letters and it's a bit late now to get one from anywhere. Is this really so important to prove that the child lives with his mum? And is a birth certificate with both pa...

Re: National Identity Card or passport?

If applicant is for a father of a British child who is no longer with his wife, is it necessary to answer questions about his ex's finances. I.e. Question 5.7 of FLR (FP) asked about the salary of partner, but there is no scope to say that question is not applicable. 5.9 asks about public funds, whi...

Re: National Identity Card or passport?

Can an applicant request that correspondence, particularly son's passport, be returned to a different address, i.e. his ex-wife's address?

National Identity Card or passport?

The FLR(FP) guidance states that an applicant must provide either a passport or National Identity Card for the purpose of proving their nationality. If an applicant has a current passport does he have to send it or can he send his National Identity card instead? Or is the option of identity card onl...

Re: Will son's certified copy of passport be accepted?

Thank you for replying. Could you possibly take a look at my other post asking questions about the FLR (FP) application? If you've seen it already then I apologise. It's just that I have been able to help with most if the form but it is unclear on some aspects. I've phoned the government helpline an...

Re: Uk visit visa refusal

I'm very sorry your visa was refused. Unfortunately I'm not a moderator or anything, I'm on here to ask questions too. But I have to tell you that getting a visit visa is extremely difficult and in many cases, impossible. It is difficult to prove that your partner would return to Turkey after the vi...

Re: Help please for father of a British child FLR (FP)

I forgot to ask, does he need to provide correspondence to his home address or is that just for partners proving they have a subsisting relationship?
