Combining Tiers

Hello I have resided in the UK since 2012 with the following visas: 2012 - 2013: Tier 4 (General) student 2013 - 2015: Tier 2 (General) 2015 - 2017: Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) 2017 - Present: Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) My understanding is that the student visa cannot count under any circumstances, ho...

Re: Payment Declined

Thanks zimba. I will send resubmit the payment forms with multiple payment options. Hopefully one of them goes through. The funds / credit limit are well above the application fee, however I have no control over the anti-fraud algorithms the banks have in place. Hopefully, all works out.

Payment Declined

Hello I made an in-country switch to T1E last week however my card was declined by the bank. The bank does not offer any way of pre-authorising a charge or retroactively paying for the charge after the attempt was made. Unfortunately, I have less than 2 weeks left on my visa and do not want to end u...

Re: Dual national travelling while application is under proc

Got it. What you're saying seems to corroborate with what all the rules. Based on this new information, I will apply today. My application is relatively strong (according to my solicitor), so it will most likely get decided before December. In the worst case if I don't hear back from then, I can wit...

Re: Dual national travelling while application is under proc

I see what you're saying. I don't mind my T1 (GE) being cancelled - it's expiring soon anyway, nor would I mind entering as a visitor to collect my BRP, spend a weekend in Paris, and then re-enter as a T1 (Entrepreneur) with my BRP. The extant leave rules seem problematic though and thanks for bring...

Re: Dual national travelling while application is under proc

Thanks marcnath for the quick reply and information. 1. I am on a Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) visa, so switching in country would be allowed. (But perhaps I am better off applying abroad where applications are processed in weeks!) 2. My interpretation of the bullet points is that only one of the ...

Dual national travelling while application is under process

Hello I am a dual national about to apply to switch to Tier 1 (Entrepreneur). I understand the processing time can take up to 6 months (if not longer), which is quite outrageous in my view, however I need to be home before Christmas for family obligations. Both my nationalities are non-visa national...

Joint business account with UK national

Hello I am applying to switch to Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) from Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur). The funds are held in the company's business account, and have been for more than 90 days, sourced from angel investors. I am a director of the company and a signatory of the company business account and so i...
