Re: BC - Apply together or Separately

Please can someone help clarify if my understanding that I have to register my children under section 3(1) as they were born abroad is correct or not?

Sorry but previous comments have confused me and now not sure if my understanding is correct.

Thanks!

Re: BC - Apply together or Separately

Thanks both for the replies, but now I am more confused than before... Your kids application will not necessarily be refused because your application was refused. You have settled status and that's what your kids require if they were born here. In your case, you have other requirements to meet to ha...

Re: BC - Apply together or Separately

You can only apply for citizenship for children after yourself. You can't claim descretion, it's caseworkers pererogative. Probably I am missunderstanding it, but according to the FAQ. https://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/citizenship-faqs-common-questions-read-before-posting-t95747...

Re: BC - Apply together or Separately

Thanks for your reply, but children were born abroad, and yes we all have Permanent Residence, and yes I will be applying for citizenship.. So basically I will have to apply for home office discretion (section 3(1))for my children, and that is why I am a bit concerned. My concern is that I would lik...

Re: BC - Apply together or Separately

So the requirement of one of the parents to be british or apply at the same time as the children isn't it to make sure that one of the parent is British before the children are considered under section 3(1)?

Thanks!

BC - Apply together or Separately

Hi All, I am planning to apply for British Citizenship for myself ad my children (under 12), we are all EEA citizens and we have PR. Wondering what is better: 1. Apply for my own citizenship and once approved apply for my children 2. Apply all together 3. Doesn't matter I am asking this to understan...

Re: What online form for Naturalisation (AN) and Registration (MN1) at the same time?

Hi Sandy, Thanks for your response, could you clarify if you used AN or MN1 online forms? and did you just send the documents requested during the online application or you provided extra documents? I am asking because when I did the MN1 application for one of my children, at the NDRS appointment th...

Re: PR - Absences (business reasons)

Hi,

Please can anyone clarify if I will get entry/exit dates if I request the SAR this way? Otherwise what is the correct way of requesting?

THanks

Re: PR - Absences (business reasons)

Hi, I was thinking about it, and probably I can fill section B with something like: "Please provide my complete personal information, ie. All data that is held about me. I would also need all my travel history, ie. Entries/exits from/to the UK" Do you guys think this will do? I've seen a l...

Re: PR - Absences (business reasons)

After thinking about my travel pattern, I remember that some of the travels were short ie. 3days (inclusive day leaving and day returning). I've been told that this would count as 1 day instead of 3. As I can't remember my travel history and I don't have access to emails (previous company), I think ...

Re: PR - Absences (business reasons)

Remember that it is EU law ( Directive 2004/38/EC ) that grants you PR, not the Home Office. It is the conditions in the law that must be met for you to acquire PR. The Home Office has no discretion in EU law. That law does not distinguish between types of absences. It does allow you a single one-y...

PR - Absences (business reasons)

Hi, I've been reading few topics in this forum about absences and now I'm a bit confused. I'm a EU citizen, living in the UK almost for 5 years (2 months left), been working since day 1, in two different companies, couple days gap in between. When I was in my previous company I used to travel to man...
