Re: Dual citizenship (British and German)

Germany does allow dual nationality with other EU member states. Therefore, you can keep both nationalities after naturalisation. It is less clear though what will happen after 2019.

Re: Is the Nationality Checking Service useful or not? [EEA route]

It is useful if you want to keep your passport but not of much use if you have EEA ID cards that you can send by post instead.

Re: No wrs and naturalisation

I was through this anxiety as well... Got my approval in mid September after about 3.5 months. No previous WRS registration which effectively only meant that I started exercising my treaty rights from May 2011 when WRS was discontinued. Here and elsewhere, there is really NOT A SINGLE evidence of an...

Re: British Citizenship – Good Character Requirement FAQs

Your 3 points + fine for speeding will be administrative, not criminal offence, if you pay within the time frame required. This isolated incident will not affect your application but you'll need to disclose it in your application form.

Re: MN1 form with EEA ID card

Should be more than enough, and probability that your additional documents will be attached to the existing application is much higher than otherwise. They rarely acknowledge extra receipts, MN1 guidance is indeed very vague and can often be a source of unnecessary stress. Good luck with your applic...

Re: MN1 form with EEA ID card

Apart from MN1 form, there was EEA ID card, birth certificate (with certified translation), DCPR and couple of printed out emails from his school as an evidence of where and what he is doing at the moment. We applied under 3(1) too.

Re: MN1 form with EEA ID card

Dear All, Just to update you on this. I decided to take a risk and applied for British nationality by post using EEA ID cards instead of passports for me (AN1) and my two children(2xMN1), and this application was successful. Therefore, there is no need to use NCS just to free up passports if you hav...

Re: sp50 speeding offence

Yes, you mention the offence. The risk of NOT mentioning it is far higher than mentioning it.

Re: MN1 form with EEA ID card

> Is the child UK born?

No, the application is under section 3(1) as a part of family application

>Does the child have an EU passport?

Yes but the question is about substituting passport with EEA ID card for MN1 application. You can clearly do it for AN1 for but it is less clear for MN1.

MN1 form with EEA ID card

Dear All,

Has anybody had any experience applying for BC for a child using EEA ID card as a proof of identity and nationality? They say it explicitly clearly that you can use it for AN1 form but this info is not there in MN1 form guidance. Any advice highly appreciated.

Re: Permanent residency application without WRS registration

1. Do I have a chance to receive Permanent Residency card if in the pass I did not inform WRS about employement change? I sincerely, did not know that I had to inform them. Yes. However, your countdown to PR in this case starts from 1 May 2011, the date when WRS was discontinued. Thus, the earliest ...
