Re: EEA Family Permit application confusion

I've been calling to the UKVI to enquired bout the status of my EEA Family Permit status, but by far. They've told me that all I can do is just wait as it takes 15 days for them to make the decision but however, it can also take a longer time. So basically they're giving me no answer answers. :/ I'...

Re: Can you get refused a RC because of a criminal convictio

You should likely find a solicitor who is very familiar with the requirements under EU free movement law.

http://eumovement.wordpress.com/2013/12 ... ps-and-ph/ is an extract from some of the British internal guidance.

Were you applying for an EEA Family Permit?

What was the reason given for the refusal?

Re: EEA1 Documents in French? Statement from an online bank?

You simply need to show evidence that the EU person is self sufficient, and that you have medical insurance. You do not need to provide any information about your lease or rental contract. How you decide to spend the money you have is not an issue for the home office. Remember that they have already...

Looking for examples of recent EEA Family Permit refusals

I am looking for recent applications for EEA Family Permits that have been refused by UKVI. I would like to provide these, with non-relevant personal details redacted, to the European Commission. This is in relation to a large complaint I made to the European Commission. They seem to have the sense ...

Can you please rephrase this to make it clearer. What happened in the past? What is happening in the future? What is your exact question.

Re: URGENT: Refused 1A stamp & denied entry as visitor

I see it the same way. We are going to be very careful and leave the UK to live/work in the EU, before the limited leave to remain expires. This isn't a big problem, we're more used to living in France than the UK anyway, we met there and both speak French. We'll appeal the decision from outside th...

It is important to appeal these refusals. That is the only way the UK changes will be rejected by a court.

Re: URGENT: Refused 1A stamp & denied entry as visitor

You have said he was admitted in the basis of the immigration rules as a "visitor" one day after being refused entry as a long term migrant under the EEA free movement rules . You have also said that the border officer was aware of the earlier refusal. I think several mistakes were made by...

Re: UK Family Permit

You can come to the UK and immediately apply for a RC. As part of the application you can ask for your passport back, and then use it to travel.

If I were you, I would definitely consider do this. And then you can travel with wild abandon.

Re: URGENT: Refused 1A stamp & denied entry as visitor

It certainly does seem that it's fine for her to stay. However, I am trying to think of what could possibly go wrong as I've learnt that even if you're right sometimes it doesn't matter... Lets say she stays and applies for RC. Wouldn't there be 2 simultaneous processes going on: A) limited leave t...

Re: URGENT: Refused 1A stamp & denied entry as visitor

Just to make fully clear: (1) MRAX should guarantee entry to the UK (or any other EU member state) should there ever be an issue, even if you do not have the "right visa" (2) MRAX also says that even though you do not have the right visa, you can still apply for a RC (3) Finally the case h...

But why there is need to send again the EU national passport or identity card when its non-EU national is applying permanent residence after 5 years or ILR after 10 years since the EU's passport had already sent them previously then why again?  Does regulation 29A is designed for sam...

Re: URGENT: Refused 1A stamp & denied entry as visitor

Can anyone advise on implications of applying for RC with EEA2 while on limited leave to remain? What if the leave expires while waiting for the RC, or while waiting for the CoA? Could she end up overstaying? For a non contentious case (let's say French citizen living in the UK legally with non-EU ...

Re: URGENT: Refused 1A stamp & denied entry as visitor

We have a French civil partnership - PACS. Yes my partner had a residence card. Not as a family member, but student. But we can prove we lived together which is all that is needed. Utility bills with both names, payslips with same adress etc. We managed to get back to the UK today. Went back to the...

i am not here to advise on the situation but to say; based on my experience with UKBA; and i think a lot of members here would agree is that, you need to arrange your life, plans...etc according to UKBA timeline and requirements and not the other way around. this may sound harsh but unfortunately i...

This feels like too much to me. (But at least it is well organized.)

Personally I would send one or two key proofs for each period. More can only cause problems.

There is no need to spend more than £10 on special delivery postage!

Practical question time… I'm finalising a complicated EEA4 application. We've amassed a stack of documents about 10cm thick... I have tab-labelled key documents and included an index. I have also highlighted key information within the documents. Would it be best to send everything off in some kind ...

I would complain if I were you. Presumably you were charged £55 for the privilege? Ofcourse i was charged. Complain and then what? Nothing will change and nothing will happen . If you already have decided nothing will change, then it is very unlikely that anything will change. I suspect this sort o...
