Re: Which one to apply: EEA4 or Naturalisation?

Hi why is it your second Resident permit? That's a long story. Applied for EEA4 earlier, got rejected , sent them more documents asking for reconsideration, waited for more than 6 months, nothing happened, got dismissed from work for not having valid visa, had to apply for another 5 year EEA2. As fa...

Which one to apply: EEA4 or Naturalisation?

Hello everyone

I have been living here since Feb 2007 as a family member of EEA national. I do not know if I could apply for British Passport straight away or if I need to apply for EEA4 first.

At the moment I've got my second Resident Permit which is valid till 2019.

Thank you.

Re: New EEA2 application or waiting for the appeal?

It's a very long story. My EEA4 was refused for the gap between employment and self-employed which was more than 6 months( I sent proofs that EEA national was looking for work and they did not accept that. After 7 months, they said the gap was greater than 6 months(I did not know that) and they refuse...

New EEA2 application or waiting for the appeal?

I appealed against EEA2 back in August 2013, received a letter from court in November 2013 that my oral appeal hearing is September 2014. As it is a very long time to wait I wanted to apply for another EEA2. HO says that I can either have an appeal or an application, not both and when I send a new a...

I don't know any solicitor (good or bad) and if I were you, I would not take any recommendations from people I don't know (even if they are "guru"). Thank you for your advice. I am going to consult Citizen Adviser Bureau and do some research to find a good one. It sounds to me that they a...

Seek legal advice. From the sounds of it, this is unfair dismissal. I suggest you read Sponsors, paranoia and unfair dismissal . Can you suggest any good solicitor who knows European law and expert in employment law as well? I am going to appeal to this decision anyway and my employer told me if I ...

After spending 2 days on the phone talking to Home Office and sending them emails, I managed to get the COA just in time for my hearing meeting. Despite providing them with the new COA, I got dismissed on the grounds of not being eligible to work in period between the expiration of my last COA (whil...

Dear Nim

I'm exactly in your shoes now. Getting suspended from work and waiting for my hearing later this week.

What happened to you?
Did you appeal against your employer's decision?
Are you back to work now?
Did that dismissal have any affect on getting other jobs?

Well you should appeal. The six month rule is not absolute, if you spouse could show he was genuinely seeking work, and had a realistic prospect of seeking work, then this period is extended. In my view, and it is strongly arguable, that there is a presumption that such is the case, if the person s...

I've searched so many sites about getting Family Permit and thinngs related moving to UK, but I'm afraid a non-visa national cannot get an EEA Family Permit at the port of entry or after arrival in the UK as a tourist. That person should apply for Family Permit in the country of residence before fly...
