Re: Green Card and Country of Birth

True for the Lottery but when you are applying through I-140 route what I mentioned is valid. If there is any information you have to prove the contrary please share. cheers vr http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=5e170e6bcb7e3210VgnVCM10000008...

Another aspect you should keep in mind is that it will be advantageous to transfer the stamp over to your British passport as the queues for Indian and Chinese Passport holders for Green Card is massive compared to a British National which is a fraction of the time. This is not true. Country of cha...

Re: H1B Visa Stamping - Help Please

1. I was told by my solicitor that it's not needed. But there's conflicting information on the web. So better consult with the solicitor that processed your H1B. 2. IMO, your nationality is irrelevant when it comes to H1B. 3. Sounds complicated. Not sure what you are trying to achieve by this. 4. Yo...

You can live outside the UK for however long you want. It doesn't affect your citizenship.

It was actually 4 days. But amounts to 2 days after discarding the departure and arrival days.

Forgot to declare a foreign trip

I recently (17 June) applied for British citizenship via NCS (work permit + tier 1 + 1 year ILR). After 2 days of that I realised I forgot to mention my switzerland trip of 2 days on the form AN. This wouldn't make any difference to the residential requirements as I'd still be within allowed limits....

Paid leave and self employment (limited company director)

Hello everyone, I'm planning to apply for ILR (1.5 years WP + 3.5 years Tier 1/self employed) early next year and am a bit concerned about the absence from the UK bit. During last 3 years, I've made numerous business trips and also trips to my home country. But as I am self-employed (director of a l...

EC status at VFS Mumbai

Hi,

I had applied for EC as a work permit holder on 6th Feb Tuesday. Today, 7th Feb Wednesday, my status reads "The passport has been couriered to the applicant. Case closed."

Is that a good news or bad :-s ?

Thanks,
Pratik

EC questions

Hi, I recently got my work permit and I'm applying for my EC. I'm currently a freelancer and lately I've just been working on my own projects and taking some breaks in the middle, for last 6 months. That's why I'm concerned about my bank statements. I have just 2 chunks of funds coming in last 6 mon...

I dont know how much you have to show; i showed 400000. Since I havent got the EC yet, not sure whether it is enough! For the bank statement, you should give 6 months bank statement (this is what VFS told me); make sure that the bank statement clearly shows your monthly salary credit. I got my work...

EC after getting a work permit

Currently, I'm in India and I have a job offer from a company in UK. They're ready to apply for my work permit there. And if the work permit is appoved, I'd need to apply for EC here in India. I have some queries regarding the same. - How long does it take to get EC in India for work permit holder ?...
