I too sent my application 5th April. Did not receive any confirmation.
So that has become the standard I presume.
As long as you have paid the correct fee there is nothing to worry.
The law says that even if the incorrect form has been filled it will
be processed.

Great to tease us all when you get your docs in little over a month..

Does your visa say "valid from">?
If it does not then you can freely travel until the validity of the visa

seems like they have stopped sending confirmation emails.

Perhaps they saving time as too many applications being received daily.

I see that there are a lot more non EEA matters discussed here than EEA. This of course is because the partner of an EEA is applying. But I am confused.
