a question regarding applying for an Irish passport

Hi,

I noticed that first-time naturalized citizens applicats for passport need to send their original (country of origin) passport together with the application, do you know how long does it take to get the (country of origin) passport back?

Thanks,

Re: Anyone got approval - applied Nov 2016 (spouse Irish cit

What does it mean? I applied in Aug 2016 on old form. Got 2nd sta...

@ferocious12 I got the second stage letter back in March; Emailed them 1 month ago and they said that my app is still under consideration.

@amiamorgan I think you're still in the second stage.

Re: Up Coming Ceremony 19 June - Invitees ONLY to Post

They said that there will be 400 - however, I see there are around the 330, do you think that there is still place for more applicants ? or is this a final list?

Thanks for the info. so I guess I should start looking into open appointment slots.

Cheers!

Re: Studying on Stamp 3 - effect on naturalisation applicati

@indianzeppelin Actually, I have the same question. I applied last Nov for Citz through naturalization (5 years), and still waiting for it. My wife has been on Stamp3 the whole time and she did a degree on the side here in Ireland while she had Stamp3. By the way, how did she got the Stamp 4? did yo...

from INIS website:

http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP16000022

"Note: If you are outside the State for longer than 6 weeks after you submit your application, you must notify INIS by letter or email to explain why."

congrats @pukun_check!
Did they mention when is the next ceremony?

@chels actually my calculations are wrong :-\ usually there are around the 10k naturalized citizens and every ceremony consists of 3 different ceremonies of 1k. In any case, let's hope it's before September :-)

Re: Congratulations to all the new citizens today

Hi, Are you sure the next ceremony is in September? last year they said that there were 9 ceremonies. This year we only had 1 (today) and if September is the next one this means that in 9 months we'd have only 2 ceremonies! Moreover, if we say there are ~30,000 new naturalized citezens a year then y...
