Re: Employee Claiming Points - zero hour contract

my visa was refused because I was claiming more than 130 hours per month. However, in my letter, home office clearly wrote that maximum hours they consider for 1 FT job are 130 hours per month. I think your refusal is not because you claimed more than 130 hrs a month. When home office saying "...

Re: Investing in existing business started by another Tier 1 Visa holder

Thank you both for the replies - very helpful! On the point around job creation, I do understand that those additional 2 roles on top of the 2 roles the existing directors would have to create would have to be created as a result of the investment from myself (or myself and an associate as a team o...

Re: Investing in existing business started by another Tier 1 Visa holder

Hi all, I am planning on applying for a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa via the route of investing £200k+ into an existing business. The business in question is a relatively new venture started by two directors who obtained a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa only a few months ago having applied as joint entrepren...

Re: Payment of salaries

the immigration rules did not say you should highlight anything, but I know, in reality a lot of people did this, in order to make things easier for the caseworker, especially when your case is relatively complex and you need a cover letter as well.

Yes you can and it will not be weird. In fact the guidelines have some text to the effect that they understand entrepreneurs may change their business Thank you marcnath! That's great news for me! I shall read the guidance again. If anyone having similar experience (using a SECOND company to apply ...

Re: Role of 2nd limited company for T1E 5years ILR

Yes, you are free to change business or do additional companies freely Thanks for your prompt reply. I really need to consider this option, because when the initial 5 years management agreement ends, I don't intend to sign a SECOND 5 years (the term is 5 years), and when the FIRST 5 years ENDS, it ...

Role of 2nd limited company for T1E 5years ILR

Dear Guru, A quick background: I applied for my Tier 1 Extension four months ago, still waiting for the outcome. If it is successful (I don't see reasons why not so far), I still want to set up a 2nd limited company to fully utilise the 200k fund, because the 1st company can't use all of them, and t...

Re: visa application in 5 days important qustions

Hourly rate on payslip: I agree with Marcnath. Still, there are some industries, showing hourly rates on payslips are more appropriate. Example, hospitality industry or care industry, you can't put a fixed hourly rate at the table (Annex F), because the number varies if they work irregular hours (di...

Public funds (council tax deduction)

T1E extention I have bought a house in a rural area, and the local council said if I live alone in in the house, they I am eligible to have 25% discount on my council tax (it is "One Adult Deduction"). Then finally I had this 25% discount on council tax. My question is: Is this council tax...

Re: Director's loan is BEFORE or AFTER deducting Director sa

This is NOT an accounting matter but an immigration rules technicality. Any director remuneration should be subtracted from money invested. If you invested 200K but received 50K remunerations yourself (let's say salary not loan repayment), HO accepts only 150K but from accounting point of view it i...

Background: Applying for Tier 1 Ext as 200K Director's loan is BEFORE or AFTER deducting Director's Remuneration?
