Do they have to say "conditional" bonus in the letter? For a non-knowledgeable caseworker maybe that sounds as though it isn't definite. Then again, I've never had a bonus so not sure whether this is standard terminology. :D I think it is a good idea to have your PEO appointment letter wit...

Does the amount on the payslip (when you add both salary + bonus) exactly equal the amount on your bank statement? If so, I wouldn't expect a problem. A letter from your employer would be helpful as a backup in case you have a fussy caseworker! The reason differences of few pennies can cause a probl...

What is wrong with the original bank statements? If they are for different addresses that may be okay (I have applied with original bank statements with different addresses for some months, because I moved house).

I would only include payslips for the months that are also shown on the bank statements (to avoid confusing the caseworker).

Accountants shouldn't need to understand the complexities of visa rules. You should read the guidance (and forums like this one!) to understand what you need from them, and explain what they need to provide. For example, if you need to send an accountant's letter, find out what you need to include f...

Re: Tier 1 General Extension (Income of director of Ltd Comp

2. My comp turnover is above 70k. What is the maximum divided I can take from company account? As I only need 40k to get max points. As Vega says, this is an accounting question so your accountant can answer. It depends on how much of the 70k is available for distribution as dividends. When you hav...

You don't have to send a prepaid envelope. They will return your documents by normal post. Some people like to include a special delivery envelope because it ensures your documents are returned more quickly and you have to sign for them. It isn't a mandatory item to include.

If you have a Tier 1 and haven't entered the UK since it was issued, it remains valid even if you don't come to the UK for several (or many) months. You might have some questions at immigration, but the visa is valid provided you are coming here to live and work. The more recent posts seem to be ign...

Can you get a record of the delivery from DX, i.e. date and time of delivery, signature of person, etc? That might help you track it down with your mailroom. Also if you have internal mail delivery, might be worth checking the pigeon-holes on your floor. When we have mail delivered they *usually* ke...

If you were concerned, you could mention in the covering letter that the bank incorrectly stated the wrong postcode on one statement. The error doesn't affect any of the key details (your name, payment amounts, ....) so should not be a problem.

Why are we discussing the definition of "economically active" for a Tier 1 General visa extension. If you meet the earnings, maintenance funds, etc requirements then you can be granted an extension even if there was a period you weren't working in the past year. Correct?

It depends how close you are to the visa expiring when you would start the new job. I had 6 months left on my visa and was offered a 12 month contract. I decided to take a 3 month contract at another company (I liked the work better). The company would usually extend for 6 months each time, but in m...

If the 500 is actually dividends, you could put in your covering letter that there was an error in the description and it is actually dividends.
